Other features of this neighborhood include the South Hill Recreation Trail, a beautiful, flat trail for biking, running, hiking and cross country skiing, built on the abandoned railroad bed of the Cayuga and Susquehanna Railroad.     "I've lived in the area for 13 years. I've lived in Northeast Ithaca specifically for 5 years. Northeast Ithaca is very competitive as far as buying a home. The people are great and Northeast Elementary including the Ithaca City School District is beyond amazing. Northeast Ithaca is close to Cornell University. There are many reasons why homes in in Northeast Ithaca are in high demand."
