4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemost of the staff I've interacted with have been nice but the problem lies in the administration. there were several times when I went here that the admin failed to inform teachers or students of drills, which caused a lot of panic and emotional destress among the students. there was one instance where several students left the school at the end of the day crying after an assembly about seatbelts and driving safety. the school invited a state trooper to speak on the importance of wearing seatbelts. during this assembly we were told very in depth and disturbing details of cars accidents and the state trooper described seeing trails of blood, dead bodies and other very graphic and triggering things. there were also multiple mice and cockroaches seen in the cafeteria on multiple different occasions. most of the teachers are nice though.Other Review5mo ago - Washington Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageif I could have given Washington less than a full star I would have. The principal has a god complex, the teachers, for the most part, are there for a paycheck not because they want to help shape and mold the children into the future of this country! It is a poorly ran district with an ignorant leader, a deplorable principal, teachers who don't care if the kids learn as long as they get paid n get their summers off. It is a hot mess all the way around. Something needs to change. If this is the future of our country I for one am very scared. As a parent when I speak to the teacher and get treated like I am an ignorant child, speak to the principal and get yelled at, speak to the super intendant and get talked down to because I am a female but he will speak to my husband like he is an equal there is a problem!!!! The whole Marietta school system is defunct and needs an overhaul. But they need to start with Washington Elementary!!!Parent Review10y ago - Check out schools near 607 10th St.

"There are many churches in this area, so food pantries and potlucks are common. Also, Marietta is historic and much of the culture revolves around the river and it’s steamboats. "
