1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReo Elementary is a great school. Many miss the school due to it's location off of MLK. But it is definitely a hidden jewel. The teachers are innovative and seem to truly love teaching young learners. My son attended Reo and received a good foundation of skills. Classroom management skills were satisfactory as well as opportunities for parental involvement. The principal is no nonsense, but it seems to come straight from the heart. My only complaint is that my child performed at a higher level than many of his classmates and therefore, needed a differentiated learning curriculum. For whatever reason, the teacher believed that the class should function as a whole group. For example, when he would master a lesson and perform the task, he would often became bored or disinterested waiting for others to finish. Unoccupied, he would get 'off task'. As a result, he was labeled as 'naughty'. All he really needed was to move on to the next lesson independently or be challenged even further in the lesson. I was disappointed at times when the teacher did not see it that way. Otherwise...Reo Elementary remains a jewel.Parent Review10y ago - Sheridan Road

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne of the worst schools my children have attended. My daughter has been verbally, physically and sexually harassed and absolutely nothing has been done. The principal is well aware of everything that has happened and insist that my daughter needs to take responsibility for that has happened.Parent Review10y ago - Check out schools near 6050 Southbrook Ave.

"We don’t have many honestly because the people here ruin everything always have to bring their drama to the kid events can never just have a good time then the parks it’s a hit or miss cause you never know which one people pee and poop in the slides I would never recommend Lansing Michigan for anyone with kids this is not a place to raise a child "

"By bus it’s a 30 minute ride to downtown, 30 minutes to the Lansing Mall. By car it’s just about the same. Traffic is pretty reasonable. Overall my neighborhood is pretty quiet, neighbors aren’t overly friendly but we speak and for the most part keep to ourselves. While there are quite a few dog owners, doggos aren’t noisy nuisances."

"friendly area, nice walkways to take a day time stroll. Parks nearby for kids to play at. there are plenty of nearby stores so its nice to have it all around our neighborhood. I wish there were more stop signs though or a speed limit when in the neighborhoods or any sign that reads " kids at play" because we live on a busy street and there are alot of kids playing outside and there are too many fast drivers "
