About this House

Perched close near the end of the dock, where the world seems to melt into shimmering blue, 6 Yellow Ferry Harbor is not just a home, it's a story waiting to be continued. Welcome to Seaway. Born in 1954 as a humble barge and reimagined in the late 1970s atop a sturdy ferro-cement hull, this floating retreat carries decades of character, soul, and possibility within its walls. With just under 1,700 square feet of living space, every inch whispers history while inviting transformation. Step inside, and the great room immediately steals your breath. One wall, rich with warm teak, grounds the space in timeless elegance. The other? Pure glass-framing the ever-changing canvas of water, sky, and distant headlands. Light pours in from every angle, dancing across skylights and windows, wrapping the home in a constant glow. The primary suite is nothing short of expansive a sanctuary within a sanctuary offering endless potential to reimagine, reshape, or even divide into additional rooms. Nearby, a separate office awaits your creativity, whether as a studio, retreat, or quiet escape. And then there's the staircase crowned by an original floor-to-ceiling stained glass window, casting jeweled light as you ascend, a daily moment of magic. Outside, the experience only deepens. An expansive terrace stretches toward the horizon, delivering sweeping, cinematic views of the bay, Strawberry Point, and Belvedere. Mornings begin with coffee and mist rising off the water. Evenings end with sunsets that feel almost unreal. Adventure is always just a step away. Launch your kayak at dawn, or cruise over in your Boston Whaler for waterfront dining or Sausalito summer concerts. Your private dock generous in size stands ready to host every water-bound dream. Seaway is a fixer, yes but that's where the magic lies. This is not just a property. It's an invitation. To dream. To design. To create something utterly one-of-a-kind. Bring your vision. Bring your style. And let Seaway become the floating masterpiece it was always meant to be.

  • Sharna
"It’s a great neighborhood to walk in but there are not a lot of sidewalks. So you have to constantly listen for cars, which unfortunately are often driven too fast without a lot of considerations for pedestrians.. "
  • Shawna
"Small streets and cars can get close when walking dogs. But most people are very pet friendly and like seeing the dogs"
  • Megan M.
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 5 years. I'm looking to move into a larger house and I know I want to stay in Sausalito. It's convenient to get to central and northern Marin as well as close enough to SF. Having the water so close by is wonderful!"
  • Megan M.
"Super easy. I commute against rush hour traffic each direction. Right now I am working from home, so I do not commute at all. "
  • Teriklang

"Lots of fun kiddo things to do. Bad grade school (K-5th) public schools. The middle school and high schools are in the next city up ( one exit) and are quite good. Otherwise, the southern marin mothers group is very active here for noms of young kids and there are several fantastic private school for all educational philosophies. Overall, a great city for kids. Lots of tourist activity, but strong neighbor support. Lots of parks public spaces and restaurants that are kid friendly. "
  • Jorge P.

  • Jenn

  • Helen V. T.
"The roads are narrow and windy, and without footpaths, it’s not the safest for walking dogs. The trails nearby are great though!"
  • Jenn
