We love being part of the Coleman community!! The parents, the teachers, the administrators and support staff...everyone is continuously working together to make it an enriching academic experience for all of the kids who attend.

We were a little hesitant sending our kids to such a big, diverse school. We had heard all the rumors of its problems. We sent 2 kids through Davidson. We could have gone private school but, ultimately, our kids wanted Davidson. We have been so happy with the school, the teachers, the community and the friendships my kids have developed. The diversity has been an advantage for them. It’s made them empathetic and fearless. This school has taught my kids more about the world than any middle school in Marin.

Our family loves Laurel Dell. Our son is entering 2nd grade next year, so his Elementary school experience has been a bit of a wacky one as both his Kindergarten and 1st grade years were affected by COVID closures. The principal and teachers have been extraordinary throughout the past two years. My son is performing at or above grade level, which is incredible considering half of his elementary education has been remote. The staff is dedicated to student safety, well-being, and academic success, and it shows. The Laurel Dell staff and parent community is loving and we have something very special here.

principal lacks leadership and communication skills. Lots of behavioral issues including violence on campus, littering all over the community shopping centers and local neighborhoods, doing drugs in cars before and after school. The TL High School principal personally goes out herself to check on traffic control, safety, and construction. Joe D the SRHS principal is rarely seen - he might consider shadowing TL’s principal for a few days to see how a high functioning administration works and how to also work well with your community and neighbors and how to keep your students safe. There are SR students literally jumping over metal fences at construction sites and running for cross country class in the middle of a high traffic road — running in the middle of the road against traffic up a blind curve. It’s complete chaos.

Wonderful school! Both of my kids got into the college of their choice. Great teachers!
