ABOUT THIS LISTER
I'm a local to the area and love all that D.C., Maryland and Virginia offers.
I live in the home upstairs with one other housemate, and spend my professional time doing non-profit work and graduate school in culture, arts and critical race studies. In my free time I enjoy exploring local museums, researching D.C. cultural history, engaging in cooking experiments and doing art projects.
I am the owner of this townhouse and the first floor rental apartment was completely renovated and built from the ground up, strictly to safety codes, in 2019. It is legal unit, registered with DC.
I value tenants having privacy and for us to have direct communication so that I can be a responsive landlord.
RENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Lease term: 1 year (somewhat flexible move in/out dates)
To lease: Background check, Credit check, References, Record of employment and Brief Interview
To move in: First months rent + deposit = $3500 total

1 month's deposit due at signing.
Internet hookup is available, tenant responsible for choosing provider (RCN, Verizon, etc) and managing an internet account just for this apartment.
Courtesy and basic warmth towards the (very sweet) neighbors is a must.
