About this House

This half duplex does not have a fenced yard. The small backyard is open to both units, but has designated areas for each unit. It is the responsibility of this larger unit 5556 (not the other unit 5558) to mow the grass for the entire lot, (small yard is less than you would have for the average house). If this is a problem, lawn care can be provided for an additional reasonable fee. Care of trees and shrubs is taken care of by the landlord.

This residence is in a nice low crime area, 2 blocks from St. Francis Hospital, 300ft from LaFortune walking trail, and walking distance to the Kaiser Library. There is a Homeowners Association that helps maintain a level of living standard in the subdivision. Overall, it is somewhat of an undiscovered gem: centrally located in midtown and relatively secluded from undesirable things such as bars, high traffic, crime, railroad tracks, airport flight paths, school crossings, highways, landfills, industrial buildings, and other common annoyances etc.

Downsides to this property include: Poor School system at every level 2/10, 3/10, and 5/10 scores. Also, the area is hilly and some areas can be difficult driving in inclement weather, however, the HOA is to my knowledge responsive to street clearing in problem areas, and this unit is in a flat area from the driveway to 61st Street. There is the occasional overhead Medivac helicopter from the hospital, but I have not been bothered when working there outside, or had any complaints.
