9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a parent who has sent three children through Loma Vista, and I have continually been impressed with the teachers at every level, and Mrs. Croy does an amazing job as principal. We feel that learning is prioritized, diversity is actually celebrated (not just in name but in experiences, committees, international nights, etc), and my kids have all been excited to go to school. Every employee from the crossing guards to the administration REALLY cares about our kids. I love how the school does their best to keep families with the same teachers even years later, and we have been so happy with our experience.Parent Review3mo ago9 Reviews - Adams (J. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is not entirely safe. When I attended, I was treated unfairly, bullied, and harassed. Even when my mom emailed the school about serious incidents, nothing was done to address the behavior. I personally witnessed students bringing knives, and even fights where pencils were used as weapons, and some teachers saw these things happen but did not intervene. In addition, the school sometimes serves unsafe food, like raw chicken or cold meat, which is concerning for students’ health. There also seems to be unfair treatment of students based on race, clothing, or how they act — some students get away with things while others are punished for defending themselves. Overall, while there may be good teachers or programs, the school has serious safety and fairness issues that parents and students should be aware of.Other Review6mo ago7 Reviews - Heritage High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is a freshman and we are so impressed with how well the transition has gone from middle school. He has had no problems adjusting. He says he really enjoys walking around the beautiful campus. Yes, my 9th grade son said that! We feel that the secret to his easy transition has been because he's involved. There are so many clubs and sports, it's easy to find something!Parent Review3mo ago15 Reviews - Check out schools near 5452 Gallier Loop #2.

"Lots of criminal activity and violence, not a place where I would want to raise a family. My father bought a home here almost 20 years ago, and now can’t sell because of the community."

"Keep your homes secure with security systems like cameras and security lights to help deter any potential criminals from exploiting your home and the neighborhood. Safety first above everything else, and coordinate with friendly neighbors for a joint community watch group to help maintain peace and security in your neighborhood."

"There are some homeless in the area, but for the most part all neighbors are pretty friendly. The park is okay, though I feel the tennis court could use more tending to. There are a lot of fast drivers, so definitely keep an eye on kids and keep them out of the street. "

"They block off downtown and have festivals for kids and car shows bbqs all kinds of stuff.. That’s the only nice thing about living down here. Other than that my car is always broken into people steal anything u leave outside. It’s not safe for my kids to play in front by them selves or to walk alone around here to many homeless people."

"It’s a lot of trails and parks to walk around. Just need to watch out for bike riders and homeless in some areas. Overall a lot of place to stay active. It’s kid friendly and the elderly walk a lot on those trails as well. The best trail are on James Donlon and the by deer valley high school"
