4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had my daughter in Cumberland since gsrp. I have had nothing but great teachers. Mrs Dugan, Mrs. Love, and Mrs Bush are awesome teachers. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, I'm looking for high schools to start at as a freshman. I'm currently moving to Lansing, and after reading all the bad reviews, it's clear this school is no different than my current school. It sounds worse, actually, and at this rate... they might want to think about just shutting the school down. Not only is this school unsafe and dangerous physically, but mentally for students who actually want a good life in the future, and actually care. And the fact that teachers, AND the principal, don't care about anything their students do or are doing, really says a lot. From all these other reviews, it really shows that teachers do not care. And I'm so lucky and thankful that I do not have to go here. For all of you students who do go here, and you feel like you won't go anywhere in life, you won't. Especially not if you stay in this school. Try your hardest to get your parents to read these reviews; it'll help. And I wish all of you luck in the long run - even the ones who don't want a life in the future.Other Review5mo ago6 Reviews - Sheridan Road

"They would not like the lack of safe spaces to walk your dog. Meaning that the areas that you can walk are not well lit and not well maintained, and then the dog owners usually will not have their own dogs leashed"

"Never move to South Lansing. The scenery is terrible to look at, it's loud, people do not look after their children or pets, and it's very dangerous...Guns shots are heard every other night."

"We don’t have many honestly because the people here ruin everything always have to bring their drama to the kid events can never just have a good time then the parks it’s a hit or miss cause you never know which one people pee and poop in the slides I would never recommend Lansing Michigan for anyone with kids this is not a place to raise a child "

"By bus it’s a 30 minute ride to downtown, 30 minutes to the Lansing Mall. By car it’s just about the same. Traffic is pretty reasonable. Overall my neighborhood is pretty quiet, neighbors aren’t overly friendly but we speak and for the most part keep to ourselves. While there are quite a few dog owners, doggos aren’t noisy nuisances."

"friendly area, nice walkways to take a day time stroll. Parks nearby for kids to play at. there are plenty of nearby stores so its nice to have it all around our neighborhood. I wish there were more stop signs though or a speed limit when in the neighborhoods or any sign that reads " kids at play" because we live on a busy street and there are alot of kids playing outside and there are too many fast drivers "
