My grand daughter had scoliosis and had to have a metal rod put in her spine to straighten it. That was done last year at the age of sixteen. The bottom of the spine did not heal and a screw came loose causing her to go back last week for another surgery. Both times she was given a build a bear which is what they do at Shriners Hospital in Greenville. The one she got last week was donated by your high school. I want to say thank you for the kindness shown in donating these bears. They mean a lot to my grand daughter and I will never forget the this wonderful deed. I see some older reviews here that talk about leadership, but Rob Bechtold has done an outstanding job of creating such a safe, inclusive, inviting environment for the students and families. All of the staff clearly want to be there and want to give it thier all for each and every student. It really has an affect on me every time I get to visit. Everyone is listening to the students and supporting them. The staff cares so much for every student and family. The curriculum is very good, my children have excelled. The emotion teaching has made a difference for my kids, I love that the school is helping young people learn emotional regulation, it is such an undervalued skill. "I have lived in this neighborhood 30 years ago with my parents and we loved it there. I used to walk up to the Shell Point shopping area when it was just beginning to develop in the area. I simply love it in that area and wouldn't mine relocating back with my new home build there."
