I’m honestly really concerned about what’s been going on at Orange Grove Middle School. From what I’ve seen and heard, the school doesn’t seem to take special education needs seriously, and there have been ongoing issues with how they handle student safety. There have been situations where kids weren’t properly protected, which led to fights and more aggressive behavior on campus. It’s also worrying that some students are getting involved with gangs outside of school, and that influence is starting to affect other kids who just want to fit in. I’ve heard about drug use, alcohol, and even vandalism happening on campus, which is incredibly upsetting as a parent. Because of all this, I really wouldn’t recommend this school to other families. I feel like the environment could negatively impact a child’s behavior and mental health, and that’s not something any parent wants to risk.

The teacher support provided to its students is quite excellent in helping to acheive academic excellence. Administration and supervision is always seen around campus in provding protection and discipline if needed. Parent involvement appears to be average to above average. Unfortunately, I gave the school 4 of 5 stars because for the last three years I've attempted to have my son enrolled in their afterschool program ISIS . We were supposed to be given priority since he was on their waiting list; not the case. The school offers limited additional support to working parents if they don't get in to ISIS. I Believe YMCA is available but off campus and for a fee.
