Built between the 1920s and 1930s, the home is packed with vintage character and quirky Alaskan charm-including a basement laundry area accessed via an authentic floor trapdoor. It's warm, inviting, and fully equipped with modern updates to keep you comfortable all season long.
Private alley access provides easy convenient, well-lit parking right at the house while keeping the main entrance and living space tucked away from street traffic. You get the convenience of downtown living minus the ambient noisiness of the city. The property features the rare convenience of dedicated onsite parking for two cars to make winter driving easy. You'll also enjoy a fully fenced yard and a private deck, all while being just blocks away from downtown coffee shops, dining, and winter trails. Experience the magic of an Anchorage winter with your own private, historic downtown cottage basecamp. For Iditarod enthusiasts, if your stay happens to fall around the right time this upcoming March 2027, you can grab yourself a thermos of hot chocolate and in a seven minutes' walk, feel the spray of the dogs kicking up snow in your face as you cheer them on downtown.
1Bed/1bath with tub, living room, full kitchen, and basement with W/D. Bedroom fully furnished with queen-size bed, TV, two side tables, desk, dresser, and spacious closet. Living room holds a couch that converts into twin bed, large TV, and faux fireplace heater. Kitchen comes with table and chairs, fridge and freezer, microwave, stove/oven, sink, coffee maker, pressure cooker and cooking supplies.
We are pleased to open applications for a flexible stay between December 01, 2026, and March 30, 2027, for rental terms lasting anywhere from 1 to 6 months.
2+ Month Stays: $1990/month with all utilities included.
Requirements: A $1000 security deposit and a standard background check. No smoking allowed indoors. Please deposit all trash and recycling in bins located to the left of the driveway. Please keep noise down between the hours of 10pm and 7am.
Fur babies are welcome too! We love house-trained, well-behaved pets for a small addition of $100/month in pet rent.
