Okay school. Some teachers can be EXTREMELY rude to students AND parents.

Much better options than Bowie. Attendance taking is a mess, they often have no clue if students are in class or not. Marked absent when there. Attendance office makes the child correct the error. Attendance office will sign students out early then email having no clue why or when the student left. Counselors do not care about the children. Principals can be pressured to right wrongs, which is a plus. Over all Bowie is a mess.

I will say that when my child started in 2023, we had a different Principle and staff. After she left, most of the amazing teachers went too. I was initially excited for FBISD but with the incoming Principle, I feel like disorganization soon followed. My child has a non- certified teacher who is struggling with certain classes that said teacher teaches and the principle has been made aware of things that have been said, but nothing has changed. I would love for the kids to be able to be kids at elementary school. Every time I have lunch with my child, there is no talking in the lunchroom. One of the staff told me that they disrupt the music room??? That, my friend is a poorly planned layout. They are overcrowded and I feel lie that is the reason they want kids to not be rowdy. There are better fixes: maybe open the field before school at drop off time for the kids to expend some energy [prior to class starting and then again at the end of the day. These are free fixes that make a huge difference. It feels like our principle is in over her head and she has a lot of new educators, just adding to the issue.
