Highly desirable location in Okemos schools! Rare opportunity for a home to come up in this neighborhood. Walking distance to MSU, easy access to East Lansing and Okemos amenities, and Costco right around the corner. Beautiful hardwood floors await as you first walk into the living room with a cozy fireplace to enjoy in the upcoming winter months. The first-floor home office is a perfect perk to have for the at-home worker. Kitchen has white appliances and granite countertops. The rear great room is a space where you will enjoy countless movie nights. Upstairs, there are three spacious bedrooms that share a completely updated bathroom. Downstairs in the basement, there is a rec room (with quality ping pong/pool table combo to stay with the home), and plenty of storage, including an area for a workshop! Outside, there is an impressive, tiered deck that you will take advantage of during the nicer weather. Updates in recent years: furnace (2020), water heater (2022), and neutral paint throughout a majority of the home. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter absolutely loves going to school at Bennett Woods, and we could not be more thrilled with our experience there. The staff is caring and communicative, and the school culture is energetic and positive. Yes, the academics are incredible, but we put the most value in our daughter's love for her teacher and friends. It is a strong, beautiful community, and we are so happy to be a part of!Parent Review2mo ago - Chippewa Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall I would say as a minority who has had two children go through Okemos School I would do it again. My son struggles with math and his junior high math teacher has been tutoring him since he entered high school. I would say 90% of the teachers are amazing and love what they do, but 10% should really retire or consider other occupations. This would apply to any organization so Okemos High is no different..It’s a great school and will continue to have incidents like that of any organization.Parent Review4y ago - Kinawa School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWas blamed for being called slurs, told by a home room teacher that I need to “stop taking everything as an attack” when being bullied, I am autistic and they would not give me an iep, they would not do anything to stop bullying but said they would, had a lgbtq+ club made by teachers but was still bullied for it. So basically, they say they care but they definitely don’t.Other Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 5210 Greenfield Pkwy.

"Nothing, my community is very average for East Lansing. Mostly students, some adults that have lived here for a long time. The apartment walls are thin, kids are dumb, and everything is within walking distance."

"The neighborhood has become very seedy, especially after the city cut down most of the large trees that made this place special. Trees add value to properties and they take decades to replace. I'm looking to leave East Lansing soon!"

"I walk to work at MSU. It’s wonderful summer, spring and fall. Winter is often beautiful as well. The sidewalks in most of our area are well cared for. Although, in student rental areas are iffy. There are lots of people walking almost everyday. If I drive, it takes me 5 minutes door to door."
