We particularly love the project based approach of Casita, that the staff and parents are exceptionally engaged, that the curriculum is well balanced between scientific and creative offerings and that despite all that it is an accessible and inclusive school. Our kid loves going to school here and made a lot of friends in the two years she is visiting Casita. The teachers have a great strategy of motivating the children by reinforcing positive behavior and encouraging initiative and independent thinking. The principal Ms. Chien is super approachable, empathetic and her and the staff earned the school a Blue Ribbon award. The only thing that I find irritating, is the necessity for constant fundraising. That being said, the school and PTA excel there to bring in the funds to make the outstanding program at Casita possible. The results speak for itself. Go cougars!

I love VAPA and my children love it as well. The teachers are great, it's family-oriented they have a lot of fun nights for families at the school. From camping out to International Day, and so much more. The staff is amazing and helpful. My kids love attending and I recommend it to parents.

As we walk to and from school with so many other families, play at the park after school with friends, or grab an ice cream cone from the ice cream truck, I’m often reminded that Alamosa Park Elementary School is truly something special. All three of my children have been blessed with incredible teachers who have cared deeply for them and invested time and attention in the areas where they needed to grow. The school also has an outstanding foundation and PTA who work tirelessly to create meaningful assemblies, events, and field trips for the kids, while continually supporting teachers and classrooms. The families are wonderful as well, and our kids have made lasting friendships. These years will always hold a special place in our hearts and will be remembered fondly. If you’re new to the neighborhood or looking for an exceptional elementary school, we could not recommend Alamosa Park enough.

My child is finishing her third year at RMS, and it has been a wonderful experience. We live in the neighborhood, so she’s able to walk to and from school with her friends, which has been such a gift. Along the way, she has made many new friendships and truly feels part of the community.Every one of her teachers has been incredible, and the school administration and PTA have been intentional about creating more opportunities for parent involvement, which I deeply appreciate. Over the years, we’ve watched many families try to find the right fit at various charter schools, only to eventually return to Roosevelt. I would highly recommend Roosevelt Middle School to any family considering it for their child.
