What Locals Say about Northwest Akron

  • Bellasestito
"This is a safe place to live, I never feel nervous when my kids want to play outside. I also like to walk the neighborhood and find that neighbors are friendly and say hello. The neighborhood is clean and yards are well kept. Despite bad reputation, both of my kids are APS student and I love all of their teachers. "

"I drive to and from Work . I Lyft for work which is great for anyone without a vehicle. It'd be a plus to have a car in this area but ride shares are a convenient alternative to having a car. Highland Square is just a hop, skip, and a jump away, where there are bars, restaurants, grocery, and shopping. Hardesty park and the local library are in walking distance from me, which are both lovely parks and playgrounds. Sand run parkway is very close, one of the Metro parks. This is a very friendly and fun neighborhood. I love it here 😍 ❤️ Tons of positive energy and great peole."
