9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son is finishing his junior year at Bedford and is a product of the Bedford school system. We had no idea what type of student he would be headed into middle school and high school, but his pre-high school education prepared him well for Bedford High, where he qualified for high honor and then AP classes, and has excelled. He was encouraged, challenged, allowed to be innovative, creative, and develop all of the core competencies, in addition to art, history, digital media, and more. He has scored well on his standardized tests, and is a candidate for many excellent colleges. And while high school is "click-ee," and he is not an extrovert, he has made some excellent friendships with a good bunch of kids who work hard, give back to society, and have a good chance of getting into good schools with the strengths in their desired concentrations. He has also participated in a few school events/productions, and has excelled in his high school sports as well. The guidance counselors are helpful, and care more than most, but it is still up to the student to reach out and make things happen. We also have other kids in the middle schools, both needing special ed, and not, and have found the schools equally adept, if not outstanding, in addressing their needs as well. All in all, while no school or school system is perfect, Bedford schools and high school has been what we hoped for when we moved here many years ago.Parent Review1mo ago - John Glenn Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel like the school doesn't do enough about people being bullied or racist slurs or swears, so many people are racist and the school doesn't care. The teachers also don't try to make it enjoyable or fun. Would not recommend this school.Student Review5mo ago - Davis Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll three of my kids have gone through this school and it is simply the most nurturing and wonderful place for the kids to learn. Everything is customized to K-2 and I appreciate that my kids were not being trampled by 5th graders. I love that in Bedford, all the kids in town go to the same school so there is no distinction about "better elementary" schools or one that is in the richer part of town, per se. Wonderful staff with little turnover demonstrates commitment to the school and a great working environment for the staff. Excellent excellent school.Parent Review9y ago - Lt Job Lane School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMost of the part is good but not the school lunch. The teaches there teach in a good way and there’s a lot of social interaction which is a good thing. Lane School has plenty of events and activities like movie day, student council and a whole lot of other specialevents and activities.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 5 Fairview Ave.
