"Great for families. Not great for public transportation. It’s nice being close to somerville. And there are parks nearby "
  • Aganaleticia2000
"I just work here. I live in a different neighborhood. But the neighborhood is safe, quiet and has lots of of shopping centers "
  • Kimara Nakia
"I work remotely, so this question does not apply to me; however train access is centrally located for those needing to commute for work."
  • Derek Z.
"Most of the properties don’t have a lot of land. Small town with a lot of multi family units. However, there are nearby parks and some walkways."
  • Lisa S.
"Every year we celebrate the life of Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone with a parade. People line up along Main Street to watch. The business open and allow patronage some of the bagpipe players visit the local bars to play. "
  • Sara L.
"Schools are good and lots of young kids around to play with. Roads are safe although some 25 mph roads are busier and tend to have people violating traffic laws. Beware of roads that are off of the highway. This is where this occurs the most. "
  • k
"Everything is really close! The circle is really close, so you get access to a bunch of stores in literal minutes. Unfortunately that also means you have to take the circle to get anywhere. Duke island park is close. Wegmans is close. You could walk to the mall or the high school if you had an hour to kill and didn’t mind dodging cars. Literally, everything is so close. But it doesn’t feel urban at all. "
  • M
"Miserable, but I think any commute requiring the use of 287 at rush hour would be miserable, regardless of where you’re coming from. "
  • Seversjl
"It is a safe friendly place to live. Raritan is not too busy, yet close to everything for groceries and activities."
  • Arvin Ramos
"I've live here on colfax 1 year ago and i find it nice clean and quite sorroundings..thats why when i saw that theres an available apartment to live i told to mysel this is the one our family want...."

  • Ochee216
"I am walking distance to the train station everything here is accessible to all the transportation to laundry and restaurants."
  • Seversjl
"you'll like how many dogs there are walking around. you won't like that sometimes they ball at each other in the middle of the night."
  • Janice L.
"Drugs and questionable people are around more frequently in the downtown area. Outside of town is much nicer. The schools are good. There are some caring teachers and a wonderful principle at the local school."
  • Seversjl
"the neighborhood is very quiet and safe. I can go for a run by myself, walk the dogs, and never have to worry about anything happening. the neighborhood is starting to become younger, which is nice because we are a young family. "
  • Fiedler s.
"Family oriented and friendly neighborhood. Close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. Cute downtown area. "
  • Tinagandarillas
"I like my town. It’s a friendly place, although I wish the downtown was better. More shops and restaurants. "
  • dontrap
"This area is noted for having very good schools (Bridgewater)< loaded with good restaurants, shopping (bridgewater Mall), and very nice downtown areas of Somerville(County seat) and quaint downtown Raritan. And last but not least, check out the extremely low crime rates. Oh yeah- and just a few minutes from major highways (287 78 22) Gotta love it."
