Description

This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from August 01, 2023
Bring your imagination and tool belt to this unique Old Orchard Beach property consisting of two lots and a single-family home that is ready for its modern-day transformation.
Old Orchard Beach is a historic seaside town
set on the seven miles of sand that span Saco Bay. This property is close to the downtown but out of earshot of the hubbub, making it a peaceful retreat just blocks away from the beach, Amtrak station, city parks, and arcade. The multi-use Eastern Trail and nature preserves are right nearby, plus Route 1 and Interstate 295 take you to neighboring towns and Portland all within 20 minutes.
You'll immediately love the outdoor living situation for this summer. Enjoy the private back yard with grape vines, a newer gazebo, hot tub, brick patio, and plenty of room for planting. Open the windows on the enclosed, wraparound front porch, where you can also catch some sun in the winter. This is a gem of a home that needs some polishing, and the overall property offers several income generating opportunities with town approval. Take advantage of new laws pertaining to accessory dwelling units, create a two-car garage with apartment above... we're sure you have plenty ideas of your own! We hope to hear about them at our open house on Sunday, June 25 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

"Convenient to highway, close to some of the most beautiful beaches in New England. Seven miles of beautiful sandy, walkable, beaches. Safe area, safe, good quality schools. Pretty neighborhood. Many restaurants and much family or single-oriented entertainment. 15 minute drive to Portland. Would move here again if I had to make the choice! "

  • Linda
"It's a beautiful area of the ocean, just outside the honky-tonk of downtown Old Orchard Beach, where families have lived/vacationed for generations and are proud of the heritage there. Just a couple of small shops and restaurants but close to more choices down in OOB proper and just a half-hour from the bustle of Portland. It's peaceful and relaxed and unhurried as a way of life in Ocean Park, and the people who live there are lucky to be doing so!"
