The teachers are very involved in the success of the children. I notice those children with successful grades have a heavy parent involvement. I personally am glad to see that. After raising 2 children who are both now in grad school and both also gainfully employed with an irvine based engineering firm, I am proud to say that mathematics are at the backbone of Maywood Academy High.

I graduated 2014. I was not prepared for college. I feel that this school failed me. I didn’t know how important taking certain classes during HS would benefit me. I had some good/carrying teachers. Over all I wish I didn’t attend this school. I did NOT get the guidance I needed to be successful. I had to pave my way.

I had an extremely bad experience with the vice principal and teacher. They don't care about children's education or feelings. My daughter had such a rough time.

This school does not deserve a golden Ribbon...

Out of the 3 schools in the complex i would say that steam is the most humble and beneficial school. It has many opportunities and keeps students engaged in what they’re learning. The majority of the teachers are communicative and overall the environment is very personable. The college counselors are extremely helpful and very immersed in the futures of their students, even if you don’t know what you’re going to do they open many more doors for you. I personally get the most out of their debate team, and have learned so much out of it in general. Being a small school, classes feel like families, furthering comfortability within the community. If there were any issues regarding the school, I wouldn’t feel the need to mention them because they get resolved in a timely matter. Overall, this school is very student friendly while keeping you informed on college and career choices and making sure you are doing your academic best.
