Aspire Charter Public Schools have LOST their way over the years. AMLA FAILED to educate my child, FAILED with providing adequate Special Needs Services, FAILED to keep him safe from a relentless bully that was harming him daily, and they REFUSED to acknowledge the bullying like they have REFUSED to acknowledge so many other student's and parents reporting of bullying going on. 7 certified, credentialed and mastered staff could NOT educate my child, he was in 3rd grade and they had him at a 1st grade level. Every IEP meeting was a staged performance act by the AMLA Team attempting to portray and convince that their education system was sufficient and adequate, I assure you that it was NOT ! I left my job in order to be integrated into my child's education schedule on school campus, within 4 months of me giving one-on-one instruction, he was able to reach grade level. On top of Aspire FAILING to educate my child, they REFUSED to allow a OPTING OUT OPTION for families that were NOT in agreement with their LGBTQ+ ideologies being implemented throughout the month of June. AMLA along with the Aspire policy VIOLATED my child's 1st Amendment Religious Right to Freedom by FORCING my child to violate their conscience and violate their faith and belief that does NOT align with LGBTQ+ ideologies. We had several meetings with the principle and the Superintendent, whom I wrote a 14 page letter regarding the VIOLATION of my child's 1st Amendment Religious Right to Freedom and we received NO response. For the SAFETY and WELL BEING of our child, we REMOVED him from AMLA and chose to Homeschool him, where he is safe, secure and is now receiving an adequate education in an environment that does NOT VIOLATE his Religious Freedom, but instead celebrates and encourages him to live out his faith without persecution. Homeschooling has provided him a safe place where he has enjoyed learning. Homeschooling allows and provides one-on-one instruction with flexibility and a curriculum based solely on one student and NOT the ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL approach that the public schools are mandated to implement.
