This school was amazing for both my kids, besides the usual bullying. The kids can be a little on the rough side, most are from very poor families, which also allows the school to get extra funding/free programs. But the staff is amazing. They will bend over backwards & do anything to help the kids/parents, even came to my house once to help us w/ a situation (who does that?) I was very grateful to have these staff members working here, they really do care about these kids always going above & beyond.

This school faces many serious problems that negatively affect both learning and student safety. Many students do not complete their assignments, and there is little to no homework, which lowers academic standards. In the classrooms, students often show disrespect toward teachers and staff, causing disruptions that make it hard for teachers to teach effectively. Students often skip class, and teachers seem to accept it as normal, which sends the message that attendance and accountability are not important. Fights happen frequently, and the students encourage it by cheering and taking sides and recording, creating an unsafe environment for everyone. Violent incidents are alarmingly frequent and have escalated to life-threatening levels. For example, there was a case where a student was kicked in the head multiple times, resulting in hospitalization. Additionally, there has been a shooting on campus, further highlighting the dangerous environment students face daily Smoking, vaping, and drug use are common issues that are not properly controlled or addressed by the school’s administration. Rules are rarely enforced, which allows these problems to continue. Because of these issues, this school does not provide a good place for students to learn or grow. Families looking for a safe, respectful, and challenging school should consider other options. Overall, parents who care about their child’s education and safety should consider other schools, as this school does not provide a safe or effective learning environment, and will not prepare them for their future.

This school is one of the worst high schools in the federal way district!! The counselors don’t help you at all, the students are so miserable and are bullies. My kid has had the worst experience at this school.
