What Locals Say about Lakeland North

  • Jorge Saavedra
"For dog owners specifically, they shouldn’t run into a problem. I do take notice in the fact that a lot of neighbors own pit bulls and with that comes the violent stereotype of aggressive pit bulls. Maybe depending the size of the dog some people might want to steer clear of those with pit bulls and rather go to a dog park or something like that."
  • Maxwell Hayes
"Too many hills. Many stray/loose dogs that are aggressive. Personally have been attacked while walking my dog."
  • Jorge Saavedra
"Every Fourth of July people will go out in the street and light off fireworks. It’s a nice event that everyone participates in and usually people are pretty clean about it."
  • Trulia User
"Close to the commons mall and all the amenities like grocery and pharmacies, banks, gas etc. very close to I-5, SR167, and hwy 18"
  • Trulia User
"It's not too bad. Busier in the morning and afternoon because of business hours but otherwise not more than 20 or so minutes to get anywhere."
  • Rebecca R.
"I lived here in this neighborhood for years, it’s conveniently located close to schools and freeways ."
  • Lana S.
"Kid safe neighborhood l. Very dog friendly. Lots of attentive neighbors. Lots of active walkers and joggers."
  • Bryonna W. .
"There are a lot of dogs in the area. A lot of barking. Dogs are always leashes and/ or behind fences. The area is very dog friendly. We own 2 dogs of our own, no complaints from the neighbors. "
  • Seattlecapital
"Lake access for homeowners but beware of big dog! Quiet well maintained homes & yards. Not safe to walk at night alone."
  • Lana S.
"Lived here 8 years. Wide roads. Side walks. Kid and dog friendly. Neighbors look after one another. Generally, we know who is coming and going. Definitely safe to walk at night."
  • Trulia User
"its clean and well maintained. the streets are regularly swept and there is a HOA that really keeps up"
  • Mardi F.
"overall it’s a great area to live in. We have just as much crime as most neighborhoods do these days. However the neighbor watch it helpful "
  • Bonnie H.
"has larger lots and a little lake right around the corner. elementary school on the street over and you don't feel like your in the city"
  • Angela M.
"Nothing special here. There are no community events. The old neighbors know each other and talk to each other, but new neighbors tend to keep to themselves."
  • Kathryn H.
"I haven't attended anything in our neighborhood or seen anything advertising community events. It's pretty quiet here most of the time. "
  • Matt H.
"Dog park is located nearby for dogs. It is very helpful and a good location at the entry point to the neighborhood. "
  • Lila Y.
"Terrible elementary school, neighbors keep to themselves close to everything but feels like the country. there is no real feeling of community here but most of the neighbors keep to themselves."
  • "I've lived in this neighborhood close to 15 years, so giving a firsthand review. This neighborhood hasn't changed drastically over the years, it's still very much a 'starter home' type residential area. I will say there are far more break-ins and vandalism. Lots of renters and people who don't take care of their homes and disrespectful neighbors, the kind that'll walk their dog right into your yard, let them crap and leave it there. I keep my place meticulous, so this drives me nuts and is but one of many reasons I don't plan to stay much longer. There are a few good things: larger lot sizes, homes not wedged too close together, good location to freeways and shopping. Noise isn't bad, but having so many cars parked on the street is very unsightly and creates traffic hazards when attempting to pull out in some areas. The teens living in this area lack civil decency and respect. "
