Steel Lake

My daughter started K in a different school in a nearby area (Normandy Park). This school BY FAR does way more for their students than her school in Normandy Park did; and that is saying a lot considering how expensive that area is…My daughter is going into 4th grade and has had amazing teachers each year she’s been at Wildwood. Even the office staff has taken the time to get to know her and our family. I also love that they offer free breakfast / lunch for all students and genuinely care. My youngest will be going into Pre-K at Wildwood next year and when we took my older daughter to get summer reading books the office staff went out of their way to also get some age appropriate books to give my future Wildcat. I don’t understand why the school rating is so poor, and honestly it is pretty offensive. This school is beautiful and the entire staff is amazing. I can’t thank them enough!

My two elementary age kids have attended here for two school years so far and have done well. There has been an increase in enrollment since the pandemic began, so there is some adjusting that has had to be done by the administrators to accommodate this influx in student headcount. My kids seem to get higher quality time in smaller bursts with their teachers than they had in a brick and mortar school setting previously. They feel safe, valued, included and have been able to participate in weekly club meetings to help offset the to-be-expected lack of friendship forming opportunities inherent in a wholly virtual learning environment. Would absolutely recommend.
