6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are blessed to have our 7yr old son attend Clyde Hamrick. It was a good school when our adult daughters attended. Things have improved! He was a covid child (missed out on preschool). Has a new principal and assistant principal. They are amazing! (Assistant principal actually left this year, was given a principal position within district. THEY ARE BEYOND LUCKY to have her! My son is VERY intelligent, but has ADHD that's pretty strong. They work so hard to make sure he succeeds. Do evaluations with appropriate staff, to track my son's progress, needs & levels. Have meetings with me to discuss everything and adjust his educational plan accordingly. They truly love him & it shows. They are patient and behave like one big family. (We did struggle with kindergarten teacher & it was not a great year for anyone. They used this situation to place him with the right teacher for his needs & personality. How first grade teacher was the best thing that could have happened! Clyde Hamrick has a lot of opportunities and encourage parental involvement. It is a small school for the district & we love that. They have lovely events throughout the year, to bring kids, patents & teachers together. Wish the school district would improve the property though. They own a lot of the land around Clyde Hamrick, but have always struggled with bus, parking/ drop off & pick up. This year, they finally made an improvement to that within the property already being used. Wish they'd use some of the owned property to increase vehicle efficiency. They continually make improvements regarding child safety. They understand the diversity of each childs learning process & accommodate to nurture their academic & emotional progress. I was concerned putting my children in a public school having been in the private school sector for so long but the change has been wonderful . My children were greeted with nothing but kindness and accepted right away . They love the teachers , the library , the cafeteria , and the students . Thank you for making my life so much easier . "Honestly there are a few events for Halloween and Christmas, like trunk or treats, and parades. A lot of school spirit!! Not much neighborhood love though. And I wish there was more trick or treating! But there aren’t the greatest amount of neighborhoods that are capable of that. "

"We celebrate when the cops arrest the tweakers up the street. If you go to gas stations at night the tweakers will be there playing the video poker machines next to the bathrooms. We've learned to not lock our car doors at night. Instead, we refrain from leaving valuables in them at all. This way the tweakers can freely search our cars and find nothing, as opposed to breaking our windows to get in to find nothing. Saves us money in the long run. "

"I have loved living in this area. The beauty around here is so wonderful. I never get tired of driving these roads! My neighborhood is fairly quiet and neighbors seem to want to help one another and look out for each other. "

"nothing really I'd like to move to a neighborhood nearby some of House Springs is nice but not so affordable unless it's a trailer the way home "
