3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s amazing here, I couldn’t be happier. A big point in middle school is not to be over the top academically challenged, and instead a lot on building a social life and experience. This doesn’t mean that the academics are bad,I’m learning a lot, and I am not overwhelmed or stressed. I have seen very very little bullying, virtually none. It’s not an elementary school, so the teachers aren’t gonna come up to you and specifically help you on your grades unless you ask them too because they have 100+ students. Also the school lunches are great, I highly recommend.Student Review6mo ago - East High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended East High School after spending K-8 in private school. I wish I had kept her in private school. East High Administrators' focus is on athletics and perhaps drama. Everything else takes a distant second. My daughter was a part of a STEM program which was discontinued before her last year. One day, the students were given the choice of attending a football game or sitting in the auditorium, but classes were cancelled due to the game. This occurred twice in two years. Some of her teachers were great. Others had a vague idea about who she was when we came to parent teacher conferences. She hated it there and put forth the effort to graduate early, which I applaud for less time wasted. I gave the school two stars instead of one for the handful of wonderful teachers and counselors who are doing their best for the students.Parent Review7y ago - Washington School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school gets overlooked. This IS the elementary school for downtown/City Creek Salt Lake City. It has incredible special classes like art and library that even the kindergartners get to participate in. It has very caring faculty members. The school counselor teaches character building and gives a friendly greeting each day to each student. It has an incredible preschool program that many other elementary schools in the district do not have.Parent Review2y ago - Innovations High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageInnovations early college high school is very underrated in the state but it's very good. You can get help in anything whether it's emotional or academics. There are tutors who can help you in your assignments as well as your mentors, plus teachers and staff. They will help you achieve your academic goals, whether it's graduating early or not, taking college classes early etc. I really do recomend this school. You even have stufy periods where you can work individually. it's not like other high schools where you have 4 periods a day and 2 hours a class. They as well offer classes at the nearby high schools that innovations doesn't have. It's a very welcoming school and easy to make friends no one judges. And parents/guardians get updates on the students assignments and grades etc.Student Review1y ago - Innovations K-8

"There are dog parks and plenty of dog owners. Please do make sure that you pick up after your dog. Generally though I think it’s a place that is conducive to having a dog"

"Very dog friendly location. Most owners will clean up after their animals. Most areas have parks for dogs and cleaning stations. Groomers and vets in abundance. Don’t have a dog myself as I’d rather have a home and yard for my dogs but for now it works well for most animal lovers living in the area"

"Great place for those without kids..though I do see some around. Not unlike any other large metro area. This is mostly directed to those living in apartments and condos in the immediate downtown area. Elsewhere parents will be pleased to know that the SLC area is second to non. "
