Every school in Marin with racial diversity and ESL students will have lower rates than the white-and-rich school districts (like what you find in Mill Valley or Corte Madera), it is just the way it is. Vallecito is a safe space for all, and has a lot of experienced and caring teachers, as well as involved volunteer parents. Our two kids are thriving here! The principal Mrs. Foehr is a wonderful professional and human being. This is a warm, inclusive, caring community. Through their 'Can Do' family donation campaign they are able to offer Art and Music and so much more. "Plenty of dogs being walked on leash in neighborhood. Most dog owners pick up after their dogs. Some neighbors don’t want dogs walking or pooping on their lawn regardless of owner cleaning up after him. "

"Great outdoor space. Beautiful to hike. Peaceful. But drivers really should slow down for children playing and a bunch of wild life, baby deer, etc. While walking or hiking watch out for coyotes. They are always around here and not at all scared to come close to people, could be dangerous to small pets and children. "

"It is a gated community. It is a quiet neighborhood with children playing. It is a very safe neighborhood. There are wild turkeys that roam around as well as deer, raccoons and squirrels to name a few. The houses have great views of the surrounding mountains and there are private balconies or patios on all of the houses. It is a great neighborhood to live in with lots of trees and lots of foliage."
