About this House

1885 totally remodeled Vintage Beauty! This is NOT a project house. It's all done! 1634 sf home, large 9370 sf lot. Steel siding never needs painting!
Remodeled in 2007-09 by previous owner (a local electrician) from the studs in. New electrical, plumbing, roof, restored the original 11 ft ceilings and archway, 6 in. crown and base moldings, beautiful light fixtures and ceiling fans, new thermopane windows, new sheetrock, trim, and flooring (no lead), cozy Lopi gas fireplace in living room, new appliances. Home has 4 bedrooms, 1 is used as an office, 5th bedroom counting the "birds nest" on 2nd floor. Gorgeous kitchen has custom cabinetry (soft close, underlit, spot lights), granite counters, stainless appliances, double ovens. Since 2009, when I purchased the home: 2 trees and hedge around front yard removed and retaining wall built, fenced in yard, added full yard in ground irrigation, slate added on porch floor, entirely new Trex back porch with custom iron railing, new membrane roof over a portion of roof, retarred garage roof, added a garage door opener, massive insulation added to ceiling and floor, new hi efficiency furnace (2012), whole house hi efficiency AC (2016), duct work cleaned (2017), new hi efficiency water heater (2017), new refrigerator (2015), and new instant hot water faucet (2019). Utilities very low, gas and electric each average under $50/month. Advantage of small bedrooms, gas fireplace and ceiling fans! Added real 3/4 in. oak hardwood to livingroom floor. New paint. Finished birds nest. And then there is the outside! There is a covered sitting area between the house and garage with a ceiling fan, great for relaxing, working out, or a shop. Single car garage with workbench. Charming garden shed for all your equipment. Breathtaking arbor with seating covered in yellow honeysuckle and red and peach roses! Raised beds, and spaces for all your other veggies, as well as Fuji apple tree, peach tree, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and rhubarb. The whole yard has been organic since 2009. For beauty, red, white and yellow dogwoods frame the house, accented by beautiful roses and assorted perennials. The yard is truly lovely! This home is extremely well maintained, beautiful, cost efficient, and low maintenance. The garden is all planted for the season. The lucky new owner just has to enjoy it!

"Many of my neighbors let their dogs free roam outside. There are at least 4 dogs that poop in my front yard and chase the middle school students as they are walking home. I've even seen the loose dogs try to attack people walking their own dogs on a leash. Walla Walla is meant for tourists not residents."
  • Dawn U.
"like going back in time. small town. nice people. lots to do with kids. nice restaurants. lots of wine."
  • Kellie F. V.

"my neighborhood is ok. I think it use to be a"drug" area.๐Ÿ˜ฌ the little shack I live in is falling apart and has black mold in many areas. SCUMLORDS !!"
  • J3773ry987
"Walla Walla Balloon Stampede, 185+ wineries and tasting rooms, 2 local colleges and 1 university, fabulous fine dining, Walla Walla County Fair, the famous Walla Walla Sweet Onions, Semi-pro baseball, the Marcus Whitman Hotel, great hunting and fishing, and friendly people."
  • Brandie N.
"tons of people walk their dogs around here, but some folks let their dogs run without fences or being on a leash. we've been rushed by neighborhood dogs a few times so always be aware of your surroundings."
  • Brandie N.
"I telecommute and my partner drives seven minutes to work. In that seven minutes I often fear for his safety because it seems that other commuters have forgotten how to drive on narrow roads or through four way stops. He was recently rear-ended by a teenager while stopped at a four way intersection. Aside from motorists he has to constantly be on guard for random pedestrian and bicyclists who seemingly walk into the street without checking for traffic. "
  • Gerianne G.
"People walk their dogs regularly. Dog owners are respectful of each other and peopleโ€™s property. Traffic is lite making it easy to be outside."
  • Jo D.
"Open weekend markets and car shows. Winery, fairs and rodeos. Great shopping downtown with bars and a good selection of restaurants. Symphony and musicals. Local sports teams . Educational classes and tours of wild life and wilderness areas. "
  • Gerianne G.
" Very easy to walk your dogs, many people do it everyday. There are many walking trails that make it really nice for long or short walks. "
  • Larry T.
"balloon stampede liftoffs, 4th of july, downtown, wine, super sweet onions and a whole lot more. and ofcourse, the blue mountains "
  • Erick w. c.
"I lived in this neighborhood for two years, and there are a lot of parks. and it small and easy to get around in."
  • Kip C.
"I have lived here for a couple of decades, and I love it. There has been a lot of change, but there is plenty to enjoy, from the sweet onions to the top-rated downtown; the restaurants to the wonderful wine! The people are friendly and the weather is most often quite mild. Several great schools in town!"
