About this House
Medium size home with spectacular territorial views of Lake Washington and Mt. Rainier. Great neighborhood, close to Madison Parking shopping and Madison Park beach. Currently one bedroom upstairs and an upstairs office. Very close to the lake, on a quiet deadend street with a nice private public beach and dog play area less than one hundred yards from the front door.
Downstairs has a nice playroom/family room, two bedrooms and a 3/4 bathroom with shower.
The downstairs basement area is being remodelled at this time, and there is an exit and entrance through it's own door.
The house has an ADT alarm system up and down, and is generally a a quiet neighborhood and street.
The roof is only 4 years old, and all of the upstairs windows and doors were replaced about 3 years ago.
The view and potential view is truly spectacular, and rare for the city and neighborhood. Madison Park is truly a very very special community, and all very close to Capitol Hill and Central downtown area.
Neighborhood Description
Maybe THE best neighborhood in the city and Puget Sound area. Very family and youth oriented, and the Madison Park shopping and services are only 3 blocks away. An easy walk or bike ride. Everything you need is close. Capitol Hill is very close, as is downtown Seattle, I-5, and all access North or South. In the middle of it all along with the stores and banks etc. is a very nice city swimming beach, Madison Park, which also has two free public tennis courts. Also a short drive, walk or bike ride is the U of W's Arboretum which is beautiful all year, and South to Seward Park is also close.
This is truly a treasure in the city, and perfect for kids, families, retirees and anyone who wants to enjoy urban life. I-520 is close as well I-90 for travel to the Eastside of the lake.
School choices are good with McGilvra a fairly close walk or quick drive from the house. It is small with a good reputation for K - 6th grade. The neighborhood is warm and friendly and a great mix of yound and old, and with lots of dogs, on leashes, thrown in for fun and family life. I don't think that you can beat the combination of "everything" that makes it a great neighborhood and community maybe ANYWHERE in the United States.
