6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDeciding to go to Pathfinder K-8 was one of the best choices I've made as a parent. We bought our house specifically so that we'd be in the attendance area for Fairmount Park and the geozone for Pathfinder, and every day I'm glad we did. Everyone at this school has chosen to come here, which means that the parent community is unmatched. The teachers are invested and highly engaged. No space does inclusivity perfectly, but we've personally had a great experience with accommodations and teamwork with admin. Our kids learn to be accepting of all kinds of abilities. The real clincher here is that the on-site before-and-after-school care "Blazing Trails" is the best run & most affordable school-age kid care in the city. We're lucky that West Seattle has so many good schools, and I'm sure they're all great, but in my opinion, this one is the best.Parent Review4mo ago23 Reviews - Lafayette Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is in Kindergarten here. Her teacher speaks to all of the parents every morning and has great communication with the families. I always know how my daughter is doing and how her day went. She loves classes like garden science and is learning her numbers and letters quickly. There is no shortage of parent volunteers for this class. We feel really fortunate to be in this school district and in Mrs. Smith’s Kindergarten class at Lafayette.Parent Review3y ago36 Reviews - Madison Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel very included at this school. I am interested in most classes, and they are engaging. I've made many friends, and I like most of the teachers that have taught me. The counselors are wonderful, and I feel safe there. :)Student Review7mo ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near 418 19th Ave E #A.

"There are plenty of sidewalks. But there are no baggie stations around, so bring your own poop baggies."

"Lots of dog owners and parks. Lots of construction currently but when that’s finished it should be a great place for dog owners."

"My neighborhood has great access to Metro, but there is constant construction. The commute downtown is jam packed between 8-9am, and from downtown is near impossible to even board a bus to West Seattle between 4-6:30pm. "

"What makes my neighborhood unique? Commuters into and out of West Seattle use my street as their own private speedway, pretty unique, right?!"

"I Live here and love this area. We are 15 minutes from downtown by bus and close to shops and dining in West Seattle. Nice walking neighborhood very close to parks and nature preserve. This is a nice quiet neighborhood in the city but Near inner city forests and beaches. A library two blocks away and community center in local park. Delridge area has been gentrifying and is reflective of healthy inner city growth. West Seattle is also a coveted area to live as most are younger families and working class people. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Seattle. "
