  • Jsb58_1999
"No sidewalks, no park in my neighborhood All are friendly, they all pick up their poop. Only street lights in each corner. Every one uses a leash when walking their dogs."
  • Meghan C.
"Nice walkable neighborhoods. Lots of hills. Rural route with minimal traffic. Wish my house had a fence. "
  • Stephy922

  • Harold C.
"This is a great small town to live in, we are close to San Antonio and Austin. We have a robust wine industry here that has 50+ wineries in our area and brings tourists from all over the State and beyond. "
  • Alyssa T. M.
"Very cliquey group of moms, all the local moms have strong ties to the community & can certainly make new moms feel uncomfortable. Great school district & extra curricular activities including sports, FFA, & many more. Daycare is expensive & only one in the area accepts children under 2 years old. Lots of children ride bikes to school. Insane school car rider line. Very involved & active community "
  • Shelly
"2-5 min depending on time of day. I don’t work here so if I am commuting it is to shopping and restaurants."
  • Emily.Arnold10
"Cul de Sac. Trees. Xeriscaping. Daycare. Edge of town but still 11 blocks from main. Nice people. Dog friendly. Easily walkable. "
  • Ashley
"I've lived in this town for 22 years. It's a popular tourist destination, very friendly and safe school system. "
  • Roger W.
"It’s a great place to live if you have money, it’s expensive to live here the rent is out of hand. Excessive."
  • Kp7477
"Neighbors are always walking with their dogs. The Wellness Center is packed at 6:00 am when I leave got work. Fbg seems like a healthy conscious kind of town. It’s nice and easy to live here. "
  • John T. L.
"Most neighborhoods in FBG are tight knit. Always helping each other keep a close eye on our community. "
  • Lee A.
"Too many lights. I definitely wish we weren’t a tourist town. Stupid people from all over the US who don’t know how to drive."
  • Lee A.
"Fredericksburg is a tourist town. There are lots of locally owned stores and restaurants and many vineyards nearby. I love this town."
  • John T. L.
"To many to count, their is something new every weekend. My favorite would have to be game dinner. But main street has some of the best food and hospitality."
  • Betsy
"Wide open streets, tall pecan/oak trees, friendly folks, clean neighborhoods, pet friendly, nearby open ranch/pasture land, and 4 block walk to Main St."
  • Betsy
"Have lived here 6 yrs & know most of our immediate neighbors. Hope to learn more about new neighbors that have recently bought. B & B's owners are harder to get to know."
  • Bob S.
"I have lived in Fredericksburg since 1989 and have been a Realtor here since 1994 and have sold both city homes and land and homes in and around Gillespie County. Having moved here from San Antonio to get our children to a smaller school. I would not live anywhere else. The town has a great old historic Main Street that attracts 25,000 tourist a weekend and over 375 B&B's both small in town Sunday Houses or homes out on the many ranches. This with our wine industry has made our town the #1 destination in Texas. But, it is also a great retirement area or safe place to raise children. We have a very active housing MLS system with a lot of different homes from small historic homes to newer custom homes in or out of town. Email me when you need more information about our town."
  • Bee B.
"If you have never been to the Hill Country now it the time to see what we have going on all the time. Peace and Quite or lots of fun , it is truly a special place to be."
  • Sherry P. C.
"Wonderful safe area with easy living and amenities galore. You can find everything you want or need in Fredericksburg including very high quality Medical Care in a state of the art Hospital with Wellness facility. This is a very vibrant and active community with something for everyone. Churches of every denomination are available and Festivals and Activities to attract every interest are available here. Be as active as you wish or simply enjoy the surrounding. This is a very beautiful part of the State of Texas."
