6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son really likes the diverse atmosphere and incredible creative ways that the pricipal provides. Some teachers are awesome and others not so awesome. I hate having to pick out individual teachers that do not represent the kind of incredible ability to teach, inspire and reach out to their students. I understand that teachers are in short supply and good teachers are hard to come by. But I must say that teaching is an art. Nit a job you just decide to do because you think it's easy or that your benefits is all that matters. One such teacher came across to me in this fashion. his initials is D. Y. and I am not pleased that this school has an individual working that does to represent the kind of ability to teach and get involved as everyone else does. In a way, teachers are like your best friend to help you learn and grow and develop. Not be afraid to ask a question in fear of being ridiculed in class or inculted as to not do their homework. English is a very inportant subject and a teacher should be able to teachthis correctky, make it fun, bring the class together and learn together. This is the kind of spirity I gather from the overall aspect of thos school. One individual is not made of the same substance and is on his own mission and agenda. I do not understand how he was able to get this job. My eldest son went here and he has only positive things to say with high marks as one of his memorable schooling experiences. Not so with my current son enrolled and experienced these issues in the past year.Parent Review2y ago - Kaimuki High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a small school, that tries its best. The student population is known by all the staff, and cared for deeply. The school is like a family that looks after each other.I would recommend Kaimuki High School to anyone who is not only lives in the neighborhood, but to people who want to have their child have a more personalized education. Parent involvement is very welcome, and encouraged.Parent Review2y ago - President Thomas Jefferson Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGive this school all the stars. My kids unfortunately were only here for 3 months because we moved out of Waikiki (military family). If I could pick up this school and take it with me I would. My kids felt safe, welcomed, and loved in their classes. The teachers go the extra mile and get excited about their students. The front office staff were so nice, helpful, and welcoming too.Parent Review2y ago - Anuenue School

"Waikiki gives you access to a lot of great shopping & restaurants. You do need a car of you don’t like walking. There is hourly parking garages all over downtown. You’re in walking distance from the beach. If you have a family of 3 more more you may not want to live downtown. There are a lot of homeless people around, be mindful of your surroundings. "

"The bus line is just steps from my front door. The city’s bus system is wonderful and will take you anywhere around the island for just a few dollars"

"Many condos in Waikiki have a “no pets” policy. Unfortunately, Honolulu is behind the curve in this regard. However, there are some beautiful green spaces to walk your dog. "

"I’ve lived in Waikiki for 3 years and have been in and out of places all over the island I love the island in general, Waikiki is a great places to celebrate and have a great time any holiday family time or gathering, I personally don’t recommend it because of how small it is and easy packed it can get traffic can be difficult and there has a been a lot of documented thefts here in Waikiki being targeted towards “tourists”"

"Hi! I live and work in Waikiki. I love living here, I’m in the middle of everything and can get anywhere easily. I like to go to bars and meet with friends. The beach is super close as well! I’ve closer to downtown Honolulu than diamond head, so my neighborhood is terry safe. The closer you get to the zoo, the less safe after 10 it is. "

"I I wish I can own a dog most apartments don't let you have dogs and if they do let you have dogs you have to pay $500 for a deposit and I just can't do that so I love dogs and I like my neighbors to have dogs and I would like to have a dog but just doesn't seem not to mention I'm blind and I don't need a seeing eye dog because I use a cane and I get around just fine aloha and thank you"
