"there's lots of other dogs in the neighborhood and friendly neighbors as well. it's an overall great neighborhood to live in with a lot of kind people. "
  • Trulia User
"We have a 4th of July block party every year, Main Street is close off in front of our homes the fireworks are right across the street. "
  • Zachary C. M.
"It’s a college area so it’s not the quietest. Be prepared to hear emergency vehicles and pedestrians "
  • Ana
"Close to all downtown events, Kentucky native etc. Not the kind of neighborhood where you have a street party, potlucks etc. "
  • Clara W.
"It’s right next to the park, which is great for walking and playing with your dogs. However, some houses in these areas do not have backyards, so it is difficult if you have a dog constantly needing access to the outdoors or accustomed to a backyard. "
  • Laura W.
"The commute is okay. I work in Nicholasville so we head out on Tate’s Creek in the morning and it’s not too bad. The stop lights are pretty annoying. "
  • karenw
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 11 years. Neighbors are friendly, good people. I walk to neighborhood and downtown events, restaurants, coffee shops, theaters. I love living in downtown area."
  • Junisabelo
"They like it because they can let the dog run out the backyard.... but I dnt mind since I have no pets."
  • Beth C.
"Must leash and walk quite a way to allow dogs to potty. Small yards some not fenced. Historical neighborhood which means people are pickier."
  • Angieclift
"W. Second St. Lexington, Ky is a great downtown area to walk or just enjoy yourself at a nearby restaurant, pub, brewery or distillery. W. Second street is conveniently located within short walking distance to Gratz park, the home of Mary Todd Lincoln or Triangle park. Do a little shopping at Festival Market, Victorian Square or a wine shop. Watch the Kentucky Wildcats play at Rupp Arena. Thursday, Friday and Saturdays are usually the busiest times of the week for this area. Very close to public and highly rated private schools in a matter of just a few minutes walking. Bus stops located on the same street. Excellent historical part of Lexington, Ky to hang out and enjoy yourself."
