  • Trulia User
"Lots of dogs owners. Good parks. People are friendly while out walking, exchange dog names and people too."
  • Trulia User
"People are always out walking their dogs. The park is super close. If I were a dog, I would choose this neighborhood… or maybe a farm. "
  • Trulia User
"Many families live here and most have been here for many many years. always a lot of kids running around. good parks and playground at gorgas on ridge!"
  • Trulia User
"This neighborhood definitely feels safe. It’s very hilly, and there are some crazy drivers so keep an eye out before crossing streets. I always keep kids and parents playing in the parks in the nice weather and there are quite a few public places to play. "
  • Trulia User
"The shops are unique and many different options to pick from for eatery and not far from highway to get into the city."
  • Trulia User
"Lots of dogs, and at least two dog parks (pretzel park and Roxborough dog park).zzzzzzZZzxxzzzzzxxxxz"
  • Trulia User
"Wonderful safe neighborhood! I love this area of Philly. Safe streets, local restaurants and cars, great parks and community driven"
  • Marylynn727
"Great parks, good neighbors, events, but getting congested. Neighborhood fairly quiet. Convenient to stores and public transit. Good catholic schools and charter schools. "
  • Mikecan314
"Nice neighborhood with great bars and restaurants all very close. Everything in the neighborhood is self contained and in walking distance."
  • Dylan W.
"Drive with vehicle to most places. Traffic on green lane during rush hour but not bad overall. It’s close to the 76."
  • Shanera M.
"I live here ! I went to school here elementary and middle . I’m now 35 , I have 2 boys that I feel comfortable and safe with raising here . "
  • Raveish22
"The public high school isn’t very good but Cooke Wissahickon is decent to raise smaller children. The park is wonderful but housing in this area is so close together it’s hard to find a yard big enough to give kids room to run. "
  • Mleachmassage
"They enjoy lots of parks and open spaces as well as the available dog parks. Off leash dogs are trained well and owners seem to pick up after their pets."
  • Daija G.
"my neighborhood has great transportation and has good local stores! its great and everyone seems great"
  • Agakhan
" There are bus routes that go everywhere. There are stops through out the city and they run frequently. There are also train lines that run local and express routes. There are always Lyfts and Ubers trolling for the times that public transit can't fill. Because of our location to center city the cost is usually reasonable."
  • Juan F.
"I travel outside of the county and the local highways can get insanely congested but usually the back roads aren't too bad"
  • Stef.zimmerman1211
"I’ve lived here my whole life. I like that everything is close and within walking distance. My son has lots of options for local sports"
  • Alyssa
"Great neighborhood for a mix of Suburbs and City life. Close- knit and diverse community that’s quiet and safe. One of the best Philly neighborhoods to raise a family."
  • Marc Y.
"You see people walking dogs all the time. All the dog walkers clean up after their dogs. There are an abundant amount of parks for allowing dogs to run free."
  • Shanna S.
"I love it but parking is hard ................... but its beautiful with lots of options for shopping and food"
  • Samuel F.
"I work on Ridge Pike in Conshohocken and the average daily commute is 20-40 minutes each way depending on traffic."
  • Skyla M.
"Easy commute, neighborhood easy to learn. Very close knit, everyone knows each other and is extremely friendly. "
  • Jenskin614
"All the benefits of the big city but with a small town feel. Improvements continue to abound making options and accessibility even greater. Great walkability to and for anything you may want or need. "
  • Marylynn727
"Quiet, fairly clean, easy transit, nice neighbors. Beautiful Gorgas Park has activities during the summer and fall. Nice charter schools, children fairly safe. Has dog parks. Best YMCA with great activities and a senior center."
  • Kog87
"We have excellent restaurants, movie theaters and our community a Theater the Ash center which is exceptional. We have several community organizations, supermarkets, pubs. We are the center of the universe 20 minutes to center city and 30 minutes to any suburb. My neighbors are my extended family. We chat online or we see each other when gardening or walking our dogs or invited for BBQ at each other’s home in the summertime. We watch each other’s home when one of us is away, and help each other whenever a hand is needed. I’ve been here 40 years and most of my neighbors have been here over 30. That’s what makes a real community"
  • Theresa M.
"I have never attended a community event here but they do have a farmer’s market. I’m sure there are plenty."
  • Theresa M.
"Honestly I haven’t seen any community events besides farmers markets but I have only lived here for 6 months."
  • Mrs m.
"There’s so much to see & do in Roxborough. Everything is walkable & Fairmount Park is right around the corner too. Super quiet at night, plus it’s easy to get in and out of the city/suburbs if needed. "
  • Aileen A.
"It's still considered Philly, but it has a suburban vibe. Everyone knows everyone, and it is a safe place to live."
