5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had a child graduate from Hutto High School in 2023. She was a part of the marching band program and it was STELLAR! My child is an average learner but was always expected to do her best and to exceed her own expectations. She graduated with a certificate in child guidance that helped her land a job after high school. Her class voted a special needs student as their Homecoming King. It's a true community where kids have gone to school together since kinder.I have a junior at Hutto High School now who takes mostly AP classes and is at the top of her class. Her experience has been the same...do your best and exceed your own expectations. She is in choir and plays golf...both programs are also STELLAR! The new principal this year is very present and sends out weekly notifications and updates. I get reminders both email and text and on my student's progress as well as happenings at the school. I am very pleased that both of my children went to Hutto ISD K-12.Parent Review2mo ago - Hutto Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe leadership likes to talk and say all the right things but they don't want to engage with parents when they reach out and just ignore them. Most teachers are rude, lazy and don't care if a students puts in the work or not, they seem them all the same. You can't reason with teachers, they simply ignore you and if you prove them wrong, they will go after your kid. Nothing is done to reward students who put in the work and effort to do well, they are just bunched with the rest. All it takes is one unruly student for the whole group to be disciplined which greatly frustrates those who do want to learn. I will never understand this method of punishing the whole to teach the few a lesson, it has never worked before and will not work now. I thought Hutto ISD would be better than Pflugerville but clearly not the case.My son says the police do random searches of their backpacks, they ask the students to leave the classroom and bring in a K-9. Sounds like a great place to send your kids. Do yourself a favor and enroll your kids in a private school if you can afford it or online academy. My son is thriving since enrolling in Texas Connections Academy, it is more rigorous but they will be better prepared for High School.Parent Review7mo ago - Cottonwood Creek Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child just started and I must say the experience has been awful. His teacher has an attitude and cannot handle pressure. Her frustration showed all the way through our conversation. There are not many adults outside in the morning to monitor these kids. I pray that one doesn’t dart out in to the middle of the street! Definitely miss his previous school. If I could move out of the hutto district I would. One of Worst districts hands down. 0 stars!Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 401 Wimberley St.

"It is a safe city and very family oriented. It isn’t over crowded and it is very clean. There is plenty to do with more nearby in Pflugerville and Round Rock. The Co-Op is being worked on now and is going to be like a mini domain. There are also plenty of great daycares. "
