  • Celita Allen
"Theres a lot of stray dogs in the area that likes to run around and chase the kids, but it is a quiet peaceful area which why i love living here "
  • Trulia User
"neighborhood has nice older homes that are on a larger scale. however the school district. is not the best at all. but for the most part the community is friendly in this area "
  • Trulia User
"People watch out for each other here and mostly everyone is friendly in public. Lots of families live here and if you’re worried about crime, that’s everywhere it’s Memphis. "
  • Trulia User
"Raleigh is a step above Frayser when it comes to crime. it has a bad reputation but in all honesty it's not that bad. the schools are not great. my biggest complaint about Raleigh is that there is trash all over the place. I don't know if residents of Raleigh are just more prone to litter, or if they just don't have the city cleaning up as much as they do other areas. either way the trash is really appalling. if you turn down Coleman Road coming off of Egypt Central, that road is a prime example of how junky it really is. and that area could be really beautiful."
  • Nicole N
"Lots of potholes and bad drivers. The roads are so bad beds they Are almost as dangerous as the dumb butte riding around with guns shooting at signs and other cars. "
  • Trulia User
"It has a beautiful skate park with a water fountain. The neighborhood is friendly. There’s lots of attractions, stores and different things to do."
  • Trulia User
"yup. it's nice and quiet and peaceful community. neighbors are Respectful of space and crime activity is not common "
  • Toriell.finch
"There are pockets ... various neighborhoods on the area that are lovely and a few that are not. In neighborhoods like ours kids play and families know one another and look out for each other. It’s truly a great family neighborhood. "
  • Toriell.finch
"Side walks and the new lake offer nice places to walk dogs but I’ve yet to see a dog park. The biggest problem may be that there is a large poppy of stray cats in the area and that could prove troublesome for dog owners "
  • Dimitriusjames
"You don't have to drive far to a store to get groceries or household items. The schools are nearby as well. It's decent."
  • Price.stacy
"Nice neighborhood for dogs owners. Dogs are great for security here. Dogs greatly reduce home invasion, I know from experience."
  • Rochelle F.
"It’s ok I wish it was cleaner people throw they trash every. Wish the neighbors would do a little better with the trash"
  • Jonah.bragg
"Good neighborhood I feel completely safe . My kids and family have a wonderful time in this neighborhood "
  • Corwenharper
"Raleigh-Millington area is not bad but not good! It’s good enough for people who are just starting up a family without kids. People do not drive safely and it’s just not the “best area”! Crime is not to bad just too many reckless and careless people!"
  • Stevo B.
"Just normal Memphis neighborhood not best, but not the worst either has good and bad like every where else we use to have Raleigh springs mall but no longer here so it's just a cheap place to live if u don't mind hearing gun shots hear n there as well as idiot drivers who can't seem to stop and stop signs and run right through there are lots of good people here though "
  • Rljacksonbanker
"I’ve lived in the neighborhood all my life and watched it change for the worse over time. It’s still some good neighborly people left but just a few "
  • Gina G.
"I take my dog on walks along sidewalks with streetlights. Other neighbors walk their dogs and most pick up after their dogs. People are nice and friendly."
  • AnjelB
"Downtown commute is 15 minutes and I love it. There are now major restaurants in our area which is sad. "
  • Kenneshia D. B.
"this neighborhood has good schools. It has a lot of traffic doing the 5-Hour. it has a selection of grocery stores in a selection of shopping stores"
  • Lindalizbeth05
"Someone probably gone steal yo dog .. this area is bad .. not safe .. people break into your house .. "
  • Tramayne1110
"It’s ok. I’ve been in Raleigh for about 9 years now. Very convenient far as driving. I feel at home in Raleigh to be honest. "
  • Thompson
"We have neighborhood watch meets, meet and greet potlucks, most neighbors watch each other’s property when needed. "
  • Shnika S.
"Everybody stand's up for each other if need be nice neighborhood . The kids school bus comes in the front of the house. But to many dog get out"
  • Daisywilson22
"My neighborhood is decent and safe enough to live or raise a family. You can’t be scared to live or you never will... "
  • Perezj057
"No very unsafe at night and at the day time. People let there dogs go any time of day. Have not seen a dog bite anyone in the neighborhood."
  • Jeannine O.
"there's too much killings and violence. neighbors don't speak just look at uyou crazy. very very few children come out to play. it's changed tremendously."
  • Price.stacy
"Need better trash clean up on streets. People passing through Raleigh throw there trash out their car window. You never find police when you need them. Commercial businesses are allowed to blast loud music Thursday to Sunday night and the police and there superiors don’t care. First home investment worst home investment living in Raleigh."
  • Derek B.
"well this July 4th there will be lots of smoke in the air. from grills to fireworks, gun barrels, and marijuana. I might rent a hotel that night. On new year's Eve, we had all of those activities along with a dead body shot in our neighbors yard right across the street. stay away from this place. go to school or a trade school and get a good job and stay out of the hood. "
  • Ty S.
"There isn't a real dog park out here, so the closest would be Overton or Shelby farms. There are often strays in the area, so always be aware of your own pets. "
  • Derek B.
"dogs and people would not enjoy the gunshots, murder, many drug dealers, crime, foul mouthed children, children getting high, children walking the streets instead of being in school. dog owners might like there's many loose dogs in the neighborhood that maybe they can pet. but usually they are starving so you have to call animal control to pick them up. do not move here. stay in school, get a good job, and stay away from the hood. there's trash everywhere! pot hole city. dogs and humans stay away!"
  • Vampires.muse
"Nothing really easily accessible without a vehicle or plenty of time to walk. There are bus lines that are relatively close, but like most of Memphis public transportation is not a strong point "
  • Paulette B. .
"It's busy around Austin Peay HWY and when school gets out around 3-4p. But my area is close to the freeway off I-240 East and West. "
  • Harleighbell
"no community events. nothing special. there is a lot of it unnecessary trash everywhere. not an ideal place to live"
  • Paulette B. .
"Raleigh community meetings every Thursday at 7pm. Annual carnivals. Library reading and crafts events. Shops everywhere. "
  • Trulia User
"within two weeks of living here there were notices posted about a shooting, a robbery, & a guy got all four of his tires jacked. "
  • Tonya S.
"Too congested most days...area is rather busy a lot of the time. Would definitely reconsider before choosing. I hear gunshots on a regular."
