Love Garehime! They have a fabulous model city program that really helps the students better understand economics and business, responsibility and government, and much more. The teachers as a whole are incredible. The principal is great! He really goes to bat with the district to try to ensure we have the best of the best, and he also trys to have a good mix of academics, fun, and discipline. The people who volunteer spend countless hours trying to make school a fun and interactive experience for the kids. The front staff go above and beyond. Class sizes are average. My kids all say 'it feels like home'.

The school seems to pay very little attention to students throughout the year, unless it’s to single them out for something they’ve done wrong. I’ve reached out multiple times asking for support with my child, only to be told that it’s ultimately the student’s responsibility. While I understand the rules around phone use in class, the way the school handles confiscated items is unnecessarily difficult for parents.Requiring parents to come to the school to retrieve items they paid for is extremely inconvenient. What’s more concerning is being told by the front desk that this policy is intentionally designed to inconvenience parents. That kind of mindset feels dismissive and out of touch, especially considering that not all home situations are the same, and policies like this can create bigger issues for students over relatively small mistakes.Overall, the attitude from some staff comes across as condescending rather than supportive. It feels less like a learning environment and more like a place where students are disciplined without being genuinely guided or helped.

My daughter was attacked on October 6th around 9:50am. My family and I got to view the video on what happened to my daughter. It is clear in the video that one boy blocked her in while the other placed my daughter in a headlock lock. He slammed her on the ground and punched her many times in the face. Not only did he punch her in the face but he tried to knee her in the face as well. The school is refusing to hold the other boy accountable. They tried to say that someone stated my daughter said a racial remark to the boy which was false. The principal is hiding the fact that this was racially motivated. The other boy involved is still attending the school with no punishment. They turned off their Google reviews so you can't post there. The principal spoke highly of my daughter and said she is always respectful and yet you allowed someone to lie on her. The boy clearly told her to watch out n word and that's not being addressed. This was a hate crime nothing less. We will fight to get the video released so you can see what we can see. The principal failed to show us the video on a proper screen like he showed the first clip before the attack. We had to take turns watching it on his dark laptop screen. They simply do not want this to come out as a hate crime. My daughter has never had a bad remark about her since kindergarten. This school has failed my child but chose to target her brother who attends the same school after he threatened to protect his sister. What's to stop this from happening to your child of color? Justice for my daughter will be served with or without the schools help. Not one adult was seen in the video not one!
