The Byron CUSD is well funded via taxes paid from the local nuclear plant. This school offers a private school feel (setting) with the price of a public school.The CUSD staff is top notch - they CARE about their students. They staff (from the Superintendent down) puts the needs of the students first. Our daughter began her time at Byron as a 3.5 year old pre-K student. After having a liver transplant, she was behind in all areas - education, physical, etc. We credit staff at Byron with helping us to make sure that our daughter achieved whatever it was that she wanted to. She is now a junior in college and majoring in education. She wants to give back to the vocation of education and to the educators that never gave up on her and helped her to set her sights high.

"Good schools love sports and activities offered Love the cafes and restaurants we have 2 good grocery stores and gas stations s close . I love the library plus we have a coffee shop in town haircut place all in town "

"I work in the district. Schools are not as excellent as people think. They are very comparable to Winnebago and Pecatonica so consider those areas as well. They are definitely better than Rockford... "
