Please, feel free to browse the other reviews here, where some happen to be from actual students who were afraid for their safety. It’s very unfortunate to experience extreme unprofessional behavior and communication from the staff, ESPECIALLY from counselors such as Harold Lewis II. I have both witnessed, and experienced for myself, tactics of intimidation and defensiveness during conversation with students and parents, including physical methods. Any inappropriate behavior from students, such as fighting and bullying, is encouraged by counseling staff, as they do not address these issues in an effective and professional manner. FOR YOUR OWN AND YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY, DO NOT BRING THEM TO THIS SCHOOL. Do everything in your power to avoid enrolling them in this school, as unfortunately you WILL regret it. The teachers are overworked and dismissive. If you have no choice but to send them here and you and your child have to endure the nature of the school’s ability to truly educate, please don’t hesitate to REPORT them, even to the district if necessary. Sadly, they do bank on the fact that working parents tend to be short on time given their work schedules, so it’s best to avoid this school at all costs. The staff at Crawford is great, they support the students with their needs. Our school has an awesome program for those who want to enter the medical field with many programs/clubs and great AP classes. The sports team is great having one best cross country team in San Diego and soccer team. Crawford happily supports all students who have learning differences. Crawford is a very diverse school with many students coming from all over the world. We all support each other culture and believes. "It’s close to the 94 so easy to get in and out anywhere. Even at peak hours it isn’t too bad of a drive. "

"There are always police helicopters flying around day and night, yes even at 2 in the morning. the streets are dirty and always filled with litter. The street sweepers come at night when all the cars are parked, so it stays dirty. There are homeless people on every corner. (which is probably due to the fact that the old abandoned looking building next to the church is where they are allowed to sleep at night, but only on the bottom floor, since the top floor is mold infested.) So you always see them roaming around. This is not an area that children should be raised in. This is a high traffic area. Basically it is not the nicest of places, it is livable, however, renter or buyer beware."
