"Community is nice and location is good for outdoorsy people. Love the weather and schooling. Will have to drive a bit to get to less expensive food and materials"
  • Jennifer H.
"The Flea market every month and the year round community garden are right downtown. Also the cinema is all about the community."
  • Annie D.
"It has been very peaceful and enjoyable for my Son and I. Yes, I have to drive down the hill for work and school but it's also nice to drive home and unwind. A lot of people think Colfax is too far but it's about 15 minutes Auburn."
  • Nickettl13
"Awesome neighborhood! Great schools, safe neighborhoods! And great for commuting to auburn/Roseville/Sacramento "
  • Nickettl13
"Beatiful private neighborhoods, but yet easy freeway access to get to Auburn, Sacramento, Tahoe, etc. Quickly! Perfect for the commuter that doesn’t want to live in the city "
  • Nickettl13
"Great location for commuters that don’t want to live in the city and need to get the freeway quicky! Can be in auburn in 15 minutes "
"we no longer have events for the people in this town it's all geared towards tourism now we hate it that used to be a small quiet town"
  • s
"Good, but steep terrain. There are money dogs off leash and I fenced so it’s best to be aware. As always it is expected to clean up after your pet😄"
  • Jodi C.
"Great! I drive to Grass Valley for work so it works well for me! And I also work from home! I love living in the country it’s nice to not have to be in the hustle bustle of the city!"
  • Luccabella
"Safe and friendly. Above the fog line below the snow line. Not too many deer. Beautiful lake. Small historical train town. "
  • Kcburb
"Walking or biking to school is not always practical, but neighborhoods are safe and neighbors are friendly and willing to help."
  • Lynzie133
"Country rural setting. Foothills and rivers. Close to town with that far out feel. Privacy from crowded streets. "
  • kcurljohnston
"Due to the proximity to I-80, this neighborhood makes for a direct commute to Roseville or Sacramento but once home, you feel like your at your vacation residence."
  • dpk
"This is an extremely nice and friendly area. Easy access to Interstate 80. Just a short 5 to 15 minute drive to grocery stores or larger shopping areas, in Auburn. Public transportation at the front door. Charter school just one mile away. High School 4 or 5 miles away Bus pick up on Placer HIlls Road, in front of this residence. This house is an extremely an 'easy to live in' residence. Nice open access (for RV access) all around the house. The noise of Placer Hills Rd may take some getting used to but, the overall convience of daily living will overcome the traffic noise. "
  • Ideabuilder
"This little community above Colfax off Hwy 80 is simply a hidden gem. A place in the trees where the seasons change, the forest is lovely and the neighbors are truly friendly. This is a place where you walk your dog & stop to chat with neighbors. We feel truly blessed to have discovered this place and to have bought a home here."
