We moved back from Europe specifically so our children could attend Eaton Elementary.The recent renovations have created a beautiful, modern learning environment, but what truly makes Eaton outstanding is the people. The teachers are skilled, caring educators who know each child as an individual. The staff are warm and competent, creating a supportive atmosphere throughout the building. The afterschool program is well run and very convenient.The parent community is equally impressive. Families are engaged and supportive, and the HSA goes above and beyond to enrich the school experience through their dedication and hard work.Our children are thriving here in every way—academically, socially, and emotionally. Eaton is everything we hoped for in an elementary school and more. We couldn't recommend it more highly.

No support for teachers. Asks to teach courses that require specialized training without providing training. Administration uses the unfair evaluation system to separate teachers they don't like even though those teachers performed above and beyond to produce impressive test scores. There is no parking available for teachers. 30 students in a classroom that can accommodate 20 max. No instructional support for special education students.

I rate Hardy as a Great Middle School. It reflects, embraces, and has built the character of the school around the diversity of DC. There is no other middle school in DC with the breadth and depth of course offerings as Hardy. It is a smaller school while still having enough students for all students to find friends. I highly recommend Hardy!
