My grandchild entered Yucaipa HS this year, 2020-21 as a district transfer student because her parents were planning a move to Yucaipa area. Then covid hit. We thought that it was going to be terrible, but just the opposite occurred. The distance learning she has received has been almost flawless, the teacher involvement above what we could have hope for and the counselor and Special Education department the same. The work load was a little easier the first semester, the adjustment was hard on everyone. This second semester it is harder to get an A or B - but not impossible. Teachers teach clearly, the curriculum is explained clearly and if she had problems there was always one on one appointment after school for each need. When I hear people yelling about how their children are not getting a good education I can't say I can relate to that here. Hopefully they will all be in class and well next fall. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 4th grader has been attending Ridgeview since Kindergarten, and has a wonderful experience here. I feel like all of the staff at this school, from his teachers, to office staff to yard duties, etc., really care about him and his progress. Each teacher has given him any support he has needed, in different ways. I'll always be grateful to his 1st grade teacher, who pushed for him to receive more speech/language services. There will always be kids with behavior problems, but generally the kids and parents are great here. I don't know about test scores or any of the other measurables that go into a rating, but our experience at Ridgeview has been phenomenal.Parent Review2y ago

"not really close to a freeway, but the main road lugonia moves pretty fast. there are several easy routes to go to nearby cities. Mentone is a very central location."

"Work from home, no commute to work. Grocery store is a ten minute walk, three minute drive. Not many street lights in our neighborhood which is nice at night cause it allows you to better see the stars, down side walking at night street isn’t lit up. Flash light would come in handy for late night walks."

"Retired here in 2001. GREAT neighbors. Quiet area. Easy access to Redlands shopping, Loma Linda Cancer Center is 8 miles. University of Redlands 3 miles. Freeway 10 3 miles. 50 miles to Big Bear Lake and Ski. We have all ages."

"Great place to raise children, Lots of hiking trails. holding and settling ponds along the trails.. full of wild life. Creek on south side of road. Mill creek wash on north side of road. Peacefull place to live."
