Room Description

Seeking housemate to share this lovely house and split the $1,800 monthly cost. It is currently occupied by owner who is a nurse using the master bedroom suite. There are 2 bedrooms and a private bath available for the housemate suite. The kitchen, living room and dining room can be shared spaces. The two large bedrooms and private bath are off a corridor at the opposite end of the house. They have huge closets and storage. The neighborhood prohibits outright rentals, but housemates are allowed to share the house. That makes the monthly cost share very attractive to both of us. The housemate will have to be compatible with the current nurse occupant. I am reaching out via Zillow rentals because it reaches a wide audience, and showing this as a rental, but it is technically a room for rent house sharing agreement. Spacious 3 bedroom home with large private lot, in Lakeside community on Lake Gaston at I-85 exit 4. Proximity to Boydton and South Hill. 1 hour to Raleigh or 80 miles to Richmond via Interstate. House is on isolated and private parcel across the street from the inlet waterway. Swimming pool, boat ramp, 9 hole golf course, tennis, pickleball and cornhole plus playground for kids are included neighborhood amenities.

New floors and drywall in spacious 1450 ft open floor-plan. New HVAC with heat pump in every room. Large screened porch off oversized master bedroom with door to porch for morning coffee. 12x23 covered concrete front porch suitable for wheelchair. Circular drive with ample parking.

Great storage with generous walk-in closets in each bedroom, mud-room and laundry room off the eat in kitchen. Curb appeal and newly paved roads in a waterfront oriented portion of the River Ridge golfing and camping subdivision.

No smoking, unless applicant posts an extra 2 months security deposit, for total of $1,800 vs. the non smoker $900. Pets will be evaluated on a case by case basis. If house is smoked in, owner reserves right to demand security deposit increase to cover odor elimination and re-painting. Owner will pay HOA dues and taxes. Occupants will be responsible for splitting electricity and water costs, and may reimburse landlord if account in owners name. Occupants responsible for maintaining yard, and complying with HOA standards for maintenance and clutter or junk outside.
