In my substituting experience, Muscatel is fantastic! My favorite school in the district to sub at. The Rosemead School District is well-organized and the students are overall well-behaved and the administration welcomed me and helped me with everything I needed!

Savanna Elementary has been very disappointing in my experience. One of the most serious problems is the way the school ignores chronic absences. Even when children miss school repeatedly, staff simply accept retroactive doctor’s notes and fail to hold anyone accountable. This lack of action is harmful to students’ education and creates an unsafe precedent.The administration also mishandles IEP/504 meetings and avoids issuing proper documentation such as Prior Written Notice, which shows a lack of transparency. Parents are left without real support, and the children’s needs are not taken seriously.This pattern reminds me of the Gabriel Fernandez case, where multiple red flags and reports were ignored until it was too late. While my children’s case is not the same, the similarity is that schools and agencies look the other way instead of intervening when they should. Ignoring warning signs and excusing chronic problems may seem minor, but it puts children at long-term risk.For parents expecting accountability and protection, I cannot recommend Savanna Elementary. My children’s education and well-being have suffered due to the school’s lack of responsibility.

As a graduate of Rosemead, I can confidently say that this school is one of the best in California. The students and teachers really do care and are passionate about what they do. Rosemead has outstanding teachers and staff compared to a previous high school that I was transferred from and show a strong interest in improving their methods of teaching. Coming to this school was the best thing to have happened to me and I'll always cherish the memories made here.
