So far we've had 3 teens in this school, our oldest did the International Baccalaureate full program and loved it. My soon to be grad, has been ultra involved with theater and despite being a full time Running Start student, Sumner was home base. My 3rd isn't much for the school spirit culture but has gotten the help and placements he's needed. Our youngest will start there in the fall and he's very much looking forward to it. I'm very happy we found such a great community.

You look around and there is nothing but your dull, plain, average middle school, but worse. Subjects are boring, kids are extremely rude/inappropriate and you can't do anything about it. There is also discrimination, ex. If a boy got slapped by a girl, and the boy told someone in the office about it, he would get ISS (In-School Suspension), and the girl would be let off (The same situation would happen if it were a white person who got slapped by a person of color, etc.) There are multiple students who constantly disrupt the learning environment, and the most they do about it is give them a little talk on why they shouldn't do that and are sent back to class. The teachers are "Eh" with some good teachers such as Mr. Mcnally and Mr. Campbell (Best teachers ever) and others that are stricter than strict.

Crestwood is a beautiful school with staff that supports its students and genuinely care. During lockdown, the teachers were highly understanding, and went out of their way to help our kids adjust to online education. They did a parade throughout the neighborhoods so they could see the students, and helped deliver lunch to those in need. They have stem classes, speech and special education, and a nice reward program for kids expressing good behavior.
