I feel the curriculum is not necessary up to my standards, however, the teacher has always made herself available when I contact her. My son is receiving additional homework, per my request. As a parent, I recourse alternative education material. I have made several visits to the school. One does not get past the common area without picture identification. The principal is always available. One should take some responsibility for the education their child receives. No school is perfect. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to school here from 1998-2002. It was a good school. Alot has changed since then, mostly the influx of disadvantaged and low income families to the area, which is a tough challenge. Katrina brought alot of the new students to the area where many have come from difficult circumstances. It wasn’t until this year during my college search where I became fully aware of the great things we do at Wunsche. When I would elaborate on my accomplishments and opportunities that Wunsche has to offer, all of the alumni and college admission officers were greatly impressed. Keep in mind, these were Ivy League and high tier institutions such as Georgetown and University of Pennsylvania.
