Pat Reynolds Elementary School

When I went to this school, around 2 years ago, it was a mix of good and bad. The extracurricular activities were very inclusive and had a variety of options. The teachers were ok. They would either be very nice, strict, or not care about what you did. For the disabled kids, they were a little more strict with them, but I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be. The staff like the counselor, and APS were ok too. Some staff were strict, some were nice. If you have trouble, they take it seriously. Their lunch is very low-budget. It was a 5/10, sometimes 7/10 on a good day. The trips they planned were fun, some more than others. This school is decent, not the best, but not the worst. Overall, I would not recommend sending your kids here.

I am a teacher here, but I am commenting as a parent. I want to say that both of my kids love Mittelstadt. I absolutely know that the teachers love my kids like their own, and they both have grown and exceeded their academic expectations. As a teacher, I am blessed to be able to serve here. We have the best administrators and the best staff in the district! If you are looking for a great elementary school, this is the place to be!

Hello! I would really like someone at Yeager Elementary to let there staff member Yvette Hernandez in the front desk know that it is very important to acknowledge children and there parents. I believe she is not aware that as front desk and the first person you see at Yeager a pleasant disposition and a simple "Hello" or "Good Morning" goes a long way. The poor rapport that she has is not an indication of the School. However, since she is the first person you see her disposition leaves much to ask for at the school. This is our first year at Yeager and all the teachers are wonderful and much of the staff as well. When I HAVE to go inside the school to the front office, its usually no acknowledgement and I usually have to initiate the conversation if not we would just be standing there.

Amazing amazing school and staff. My kids have been coming here since my oldest was in pre-K and now she is in the 12th grade. Some the reviews on here is true and some not so much. When we came back from Covid we were limited to coming into the school. (Per old principals request) the new principal took over 3 years ago and so much has changed. She really does work alongside us parents. At other schools there is only one day to come eat with our kids but here we can go everyday of the week. The staff morale is up; everyone laughing and smiling. They even celebrate all the holidays. I can tell the principal tries to make it to every school performance from Hispanic heritage to black history and so much more. Love that she comes into the lunch room once in a while to make special announcements and it’s always positive announcements. The teachers and staff are amazing too. Teachers and staff look like that have what they need too. I hear that they are also given some supplies if they needed it. I would most definitely recommend this school.

Northland had been a thriving & growing. Unfortunately over the last few years it steadily declined. The board made a terrible choice in the new headmaster and sat silent while he and his wife ran the school into the ground. The headmaster's reign only ended after multiple activist parents forced the issue. Student enrollment is down ~50% from a few years ago. Most enrollment decline happened due to the situation this year. The school is failing on multiple fronts. They literally did not have any established curriculum for most of the middle school classes. Multiple long-time teachers left the school in 2025 due to the degradation of the school leadership.The school is financially insolvent. The only reason the doors are still open is because the Chairman of the Board has appointed himself as the interim Headmaster (contracted through his child's graduation next year) after overseeing the decline of the school, and is writing checks to keep the doors open. Stay clear of this school!

I have been blessed to be a parent of Northwood for almost 4 years! This is not a typical environment; it is a prepared environment! It is one of only 3 accredited schools in the Houston area that are accredited by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), the organization dedicated to maintaining the practice and pedagogy principles formulated by Dr. Maria Montessori.From 18 months to 6 years, this school focuses on their moral, behavioral, emotional, and intellectual development - the WHOLE CHILD. The teachers & staff are well trained and love the children as if they were THEIR OWN. My children love to learn, are so kind, respectful, and confident. In addition to the traditional work period, Northwood also offers afterschool care in the "Home Environment Room" as well as parenting classes in the evenings two months out of the year that have helped me on my parenting journey! Thank you to the staff, our Northwood family, for all you do every day!

This school is amazing. Our children attended both the preschool and elementary with outstanding results. They have now entered high school and are well advanced of most of their classmates thanks to the level of education they received at the Redd School. The campus has horseback riding, swimming pool and gardens for the children to utilize. Our children loved the time they spent at the Redd School.
