      "They would like the ample space to walk with their dogs, and the nature all around. They would dislike the other dog owners who refuse to leash their aggressive dogs."

      "Bears, deer and no sidewalks. If dogs get loose they can run for miles in the wilderness. Since there is distance between homes, there’s not a lot of barking with other dogs."

      "Love the house and the area, tons of trees, real mountain feel....there isn't much in Portola, only a handful of restaurants, but it has what it needs. For peace, beauty, tranquility, this area can't be beat. Crime rate is lower than both national and California standards, but there was a recent robbery in our neighborhood, which means I had to give 4 instead of 5 stars for safety. If you want clean air, clean water, beautiful mountains surroundings, lots of outdoor activities, boating, fishing, hiking, camping, and you crave peace and quiet, this is a wonderful area. If you are looking for a robust nightlife, tons of first class restaurants, top-notch shopping....well...this may not be the area for you. "
