3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm sorry, but my experience as a mother of a student at Sousa has been the worst. They do nothing. My daughter has been bullied relentlessly, and no one does anything. One parent even wanted to attack her outside. And because she's Hispanic, she's ostracized, from the assistant principal to the teachers and students. My daughter is tired of the bullying, and when she tries to defend herself, they end up expelling her. I honestly don't even know how to talk to the people at this school anymore. My daughter doesn't even want to go to school anymore. I'm very disappointed in how they're handling this situation.Parent Review4mo ago6 Reviews - Anacostia High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am also a 2012 Anacostia graduate (shoutout to us!) and recently completed my bachelors of arts in economics (yes, I graduated in three years). I could not have done any of this without the support I got from my teachers (I love you Ms. Sowers) and staff (We had the best DC-CAP councelor). Yes the school gets a bit rowdy and learning can't always happen in that environment. The main problem is that students are not understanding the value of education. Once we return to instilling this value in our children.... we'll see the great things Anacostia SHS can do! Our ancestors literally DIED trying to learn to read because they knew how critical it was. Students have to work together to create and maintain a feasible learning community.Other Review10y ago7 Reviews - Kimball Elementary School
