About this House

Beautifully remodeled and very unique, midcentury modern, Frank Lloyd Wright inspired cabin. This cabin is full of high end finishes, including heated concrete floors, local stone walls, a massive local stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings in every room, finished plywood walls, tongue and groove ceilings, massive windows everywhere, concrete countertops, over 400 sq ft of patio/covered porch area with TV and built in gas bbq. There is also a small fenced in yard with fruit trees and a two car garage. The home is fully furnished with high end midcentury modern pieces. King bed in master and Queen in guest room.

We are looking to lease the property for anywhere between 6 to 12 months starting November, 2026 and ending October, 2027. Starlink internet and trash service will be paid by owner. Tenant will be billed monthly by landlord for electric, water and gas based on usage. Pets are negotiable but there will be a $50 monthly fee if we allow a pet.

Home will come fully furnished but for bed linens, pillow and towels. Kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances, utensils and dishware that you would need. Home is located within walking distance to the center of Pine, yet is quietly tucked away on a very quiet, dirt road cul de sac. We are regularly visited by deer, elk, javelina, fox, skunk and a myriad of birds.

We will require both a criminal and financial background check. Credit score shall be no less than 750 and monthly earnings no less than 3x the monthly rent ($7,500). There will be absolutely NO subletting/short term leasing, no outdoor fires (it's a forest), and no smoking on or in the property.

Duration of lease is negotiable but ideally looking for someone for 12 months, but would consider anything 6 months or more.

Tenant will pay electric, propane and water. Landlord will cover Starlink internet and trash service.

Background check is required. Written lease is required.

Absolutely NO subletting or short term rental of property is permitted. Absolutely no smoking on or inside property. No outdoor fires (it's a forest).

House has minimal maintenance required, but for cleaning a/c filters monthly, weed wacking small area of yard in spring and summer (2-3x is usually sufficient), cleaning filters in oven hood every 6 months, filling salt in water softener as needed (~ every 4 mos) and normal weekly house cleaning is expected. We can recommend someone to assist with these chores if preferred.

    "Pine is a beautiful, small, friendly mountain town located about 15 minutes north of Payson. The town is a mixture of full time and part time residences who live in Pine for the beauty and peacefulness of the community. There is a hardware store, grocery store, gas station and other amenities such as hair salon, yoga studio, etc. Payson has major amenities such as big name grocery stores, walmart, a movie theater, many restaurants, hospital, etc all within a 15 minute drive from Pine. The nightlife in Pine is minimal, however there is a local saloon and a local brewery which do a great job catering to those who wish. There is a community center in Pine where all of the summer, spring and fall festivals take place. The festivals usually consist of vendors selling their handmade goods and other vendors selling food. There is also a "small-town" Halloween event and Christmas event that take place. The kids love these events as they are not over crowded and it is good ole fashioned fun. The local community does a wonderful job at maintaining the town. I have never seen litter or torn up roads in Pine. The community is also very concerned with fire hazards so they all do a great job in maintaining their properties so they are fire wise. We love that we can walk every where we go in Pine. We love that the children are safe to play outside and we love that people all seem to know each other. Within 30-45 minutes of Pine, many of the Rim lakes are accessible. There are tons of hiking trails and beautiful streams to play or fish in all within a few minutes of Pine. Tonto Natural Bridge is about 5-10 minutes away and is a sought after place for visitors who come to town to want to go. Pine is a perfect place for a second home. It is a quick drive from Phoenix and the highway is much less congested than I17 leading to Prescott or Flagstaff. I would recommend Pine for families, couples, singles and retirees alike."
